    Consumer Rights - paid $422.10 for a moving service on Sunday, October 6th, 2024. The next day, noticed the furniture pieces that the movers had covered with their blankets had carpet bugs on them. Contacted the manager *****, who asked me to take a photo. The photo was provided, at which point, the manager dismissed the carpet bug as not being a bug at all and told me i was only disputing the service because i am a liar and should not hire movers in the first place if i do not have the money to pay for them. I tried to compromise with the manager, willing to pay for partial service. He said my request was fair but not doable because he told me i was just making facts up, despite already providing him the photo evidence at his request. The manager agreed to pay for the cost to clean only two pieces of furniture at $50/piece. I agreed to the cost to clean but explained that six furniture pieces were covered with the company's blankets and thus, six pieces of furniture and not two were going to need cleaning. Manager also said i could simply wash the sheets i had used to cover my six furniture pieces so that, even if there were bugs brought in, i could just wash my sheets and there would be no issue. He did not see any issue to the situation and was unwilling to take any responsibility. All conversation between myself and the manager is documented through text because he would not answer my phone calls when i attempted to speak with him over the phone. I have been disagnosed with severe OCD, this can be confirmed by my doctor if need be, and having carpet bugs brought into my home results in very much mental anguish and anxiety, in addition to needing to spend many hours of labour now disinfecting the contaminated items as a consequence. As mentioned earlier, i have tried to compromise with the manager, i have supplied the photo evidence he asked for, yet he says i am just making up facts because i cannot afford to hire movers.
