Do not do business with this company !!! Unfortunately the customer service section for this company is based in the USA and they have been the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. I could write pages and pages of the incompetence of this company. I put an order in for numerous appliances and paid over $12,000. I was told that the appliances would arrive in 4 months. After 6 months I was told every two weeks that the appliances would be shipped out in two weeks, but never were. After 10 months, I requested to cancel my purchase as it was apariant DirectBuy could not fulfil the order. When I put the request to cancel the order, I even requested to speak with a supervisor to ensure that the order was cancelled as I was buying the same merchandise from another vendor for the same price. I told DirectBuy Customer Service that if there were any issues to call me. (Apparently this did not happen.) I was informed to expect my refund in 3-5 business days. After 5 business days and no refund, I called Direct Buy Customer Service. I was told I would be only getting a partial refund in two business weeks, because some of my appliances had been shipped. When I explained to the DirectBuy Customer Service that I had taken the appropriate steps to cancel my order and that the shipment was due to errors on their side, I was told that I was to be charged a $500 restocking fee prior to receiving my refund. After numerous emails and phone calls with various customer service representatives, Direct Buy eventually waived the $500 restocking fee. It has now been over 3 months since I cancelled my order and still have not received a refund. I have been told that the cheque is in the mail only to find out that this is not the case. I requested the credit be returned on my credit card that was utilized for the order, apparently they can't do this. Their Escalation Department is non-committal about any question I asked them - very frustrating !
