    In putting up the fence, they quoted on number 1 cedar but installed number two and still charged for number 1. In a dispute over billing as the payment was discounted for the difference in cost, they came when no one was home and removed a number of the installed panels while still demanding full payment.We have found since that they do not have a business licence to work in the township of *******.

    Hi **,I'm sorry about your experience with Fine Fences. But we would appreciate a more accurate accounting of events. Your son hired ** in July 2022 to install 150' of Grade 1. We brought you the panels from Fraser View Cedar Products and showed the material to you guys as we unloaded the material from the truck. This is our standard pratice as we do not manufacture panels. You intentionally delayed payment for 2 months even though you guys assured us that we would be paid upon completion. You told us you were out of cheques. And when we were paid, you dated the cheque 4 weeks after so I wasn't able to cash it adding to the lengthy delay. This past summer, you and **** asked us to install 150' of the same fence. Again, **** assured us that we would be paid once completed but that turned into 2 month because you ran out of cheques, again. I had to chase you and **** around asking for my balance which you kept ignoring my calls. Fraserview even agreed to meet with you to restore your confidence but you refused to meet with them. Ultimately, you paid us but shorted us 25%. You called the police on us when we threatened to take back our material since you werent paying us. You reported to them that we were threatening you. Constable ***** of ************ told you themselves you should pay us or we can take back our panels until the balance has been made up.We then arrived at your house. We spoke with your grand daughter, who didn't seem suprised you would short a contractor, and took back 10 panels. Sorry if your scheme to short us like you do other contractors did not work out. I have copies of emails, texts and a recording from our meeting where you say "the fence looks great, we have no complaints". This was when I had to repeatedly come to your house since you and **** ignoring my calls and emails.We showed you the material both times. If we installed grade 2 panels in the past then why did you hire us the 2nd time around? You tried to short us what we were owed and you 2 months to pay after we agreed you would pay upon completion. We have a highly reputable business and we go over and above to satisfy our clients' needs so I find it shameful you would pull something like this.We have a business license by the way:)
