    I wouldn't give them any stars, though.I purchased a brewing kettle from the *** to open a brewery. I discovered that the kettle required a CSA ***** so I decided to hire Intertek, as they handle *** approvals. I believed it would be faster and cheaper than purchasing a new kettle with Canadian certification. I sent them tons of papers that they asked about the brewing kettle and paid a total of $11,592 as a deposit for our project in April 2024 and an additional $209.60 for the *** on item #1 ($4,192) of our projects, in September 2024. I tried to fulfill the numerous requests that the Intertek analyst made. It always took time to receive a response or any reaction to my inquiries and emails. In the end, the account manager and technician at Intertek ignored my calls and messages. Their delays in approving the brewing kettle have postponed the opening of my dream business, and we are struggling with our financial situation after waiting for a year. Intertek initially said it would take one or one and half month to get an approval.The way Intertek treats its clients is really frustrating and ****************** I'm trying to contact them for a refund, but, of course, it's not easy to reach anyone.

    In May 2023 I contacted Intertek Coquitlam branch for Consultation and Engineering services to provide us with the necessary documentation to able to provide the certification of 4 – 8 kw alcohol still elements, housings and the electrical controller. This certification was requested by the local Building Authorities. I provided Intertek with an Electric element and housing for your inspection. The element were returned a week later without any documents attached regarding my request for certification. At no time did you say you were not able to perform the necessary certification. After many emails requesting information about the elements which you had in your possession for a week, you tell me that staff is going on holidays for several weeks. I had a few conversations with you on the phone which did not go well as you seem to not want to listen to what I needed from Intertek, rather you just told me what you were going to do and tell me to be patient. I repeat, at not time did you say you were not able to preform the certification as requested. I reached out to Intertek to get resolve and talked to Tanya M***** that was very prompt in her reply and took my info and said she would discuss my account with her Manager Marco B****. I sent Tanya M***** an email explaining my concern with how my account is being handled. I also requested to be supported by a different Account Manager as I do not feel the my current Account Manager is effective in dealing with customers. I received a phone call from Marco B**** to inform me that he is closing my account and refunding THE BALANCE of my account with no explanation or justification for his actions. Marco B**** is saying that $4,000 worth of work has been perform without any documentation delivered as requested. I know Intertek is an International Company but that does not excuse that fact of poor Customer Service and Professional Conduct.

    This company took $2,011 from my **** after telling me they would not withdraw money from my account and would send me an invoice after the work was completed. The **** app was only to verify that we had credit. I gave my personal **** on behalf of a non-profit housing co-op that did not have their own credit card. I then noticed that they in fact took the money from my account and NEVER provided an invoice for the withdrawal and we never ended up using their services so no work was ever completed. I have been fighting to get my money back for about a year and have only been given excuse after excuse. They finally gave me a cheque but instead of putting the cheque in MY name, the **** holder, they put it in the co-op's name. I have been trying to correct this for over 6 months. DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR BANKING OR CREDIT INFO TO THIS COMPANY. **** **** **** **** ***** *** *** **** **** *** *** **** **** *** The people who work in the accounting portion of that company think it's too hard to refund the credit card holder. That company should be audited for the amount of times they took money without providing invoices and work. I can't imagine I am the first to experience this.

    I have still not received my money. Only a statement saying I have a credit!
