On April 18, 2023, Prostar Paving came to the attention of BBB. At that time BBB received a Scam Tracker report about paving work. The consumer alleged he was approached by a worker from the company who offered his remaining asphalt material from a previous job to do his driveway. The consumer agreed, hired the worker and paid $16,500.00 to cover the gravel driveway with asphalt. Work was done but the consumer was not satisfied. The consumer wrote, "The driveway is not compacted at all and weeds are going through the thin covering". He then asked the worker to come back to fix it but was unable to contact the company to resolve the issues.
On April 20 and 27, 2023 BBB attempted to contact Prostar Paving by calling 236-788-1464. BBB was not able to leave a message. The phone number and website are disconnected.
On April 27, 2023, BBB confirmed by municipality that the address/location where Prostar Paving claims to be located, they have no licence issued to them but there is a business licence registered to this address to another business.
Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records but may also wish to contact legal counsel.
