I have used the services of UCMAS Coquitlam from February through the 3rd week of November 2023. *************************, nicknamed as ***, the owner of UCMAS Coquitlam, agreed that all costs would be covered by fundings and he promised to refund me what I paid in advance. *** signed a contract that he would receive funding from Ascend online school. I have paid monthly fees from February through October at the beginning of month via automatic payments. November 3rd, UCMAS sent an invoice of total $569 including September to November fees and other costs to the school, and he told me that he stopped automatic withdrawal from my bank account and wouldnt charge me starting from November.November 25, I found my child in a room, alone and crying and told me that other students from UCMAS harassed him. I asked *** to deal with this issue and make sure it does not happen again, but he dismissed, shifted blame to my child and snapped at me. I emailed him one month's notice to cancel their service. November 28th, *** replied that he withdrew $165 as November fees from my bank account without my consent, and also said he would not refund me what I have paid him in advance.I requested him to cancel their service by this month, but he refused and asked me for 2 month notice although their policy requires 1 month notice, and now he told me not to come, just to shift the blame on me. When I told him that he debited me full monthly fee for November, he said that he could refund the prorated amount of $33, but demanded an additional $41 from me and he said because he wasnt paid from the school.I contacted the school and the account manager said ********************** was already paid in full. There was an error in their invoice and $165 of September fees was doubled. UCMAS has received $1502.50 including February to September fees from the government in October. The invoice of UCMAS should be adjusted to $371.I will request UCMAS to pay $198 back to Ascend online and return $330 to me.
