********* ******** To say that the Manager over this Tireland Auto Center lacks professionalism is an UNDER-statement. I responded to an advertisement on Marketplace *********** ***** * *** ******* *** **** ********* ******. I called and over the phone was told the price of the tires was the installed price. I asked them to hold the tires and then took ferry and drove over 50kms **** **** to the Tire Land Autocenter in Courtenay to purchase them. After I arrived, the Manager ****** ****** ***** *** ******* *** ********* ** ***** ******** *** ***** * **** **** argued with the person that quoted the price to me and then said the price they advertised wasn’t the installed price. He then barks out they’re “As-IS” (no warranty)). Regardless of whether the tires were worth it, I lost all confidence in their business ethics/credibility and said they should have disclosed “uninstalled / as-is” on their Ad. He bombastically remarked, “they should have, sorry, but w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r!” When I said I wasn’t going to do business with them under those terms, he gave me the middle finger and told me to, ***** *** Then” and added, ***** *** *** ** ***** *********** making it seem that I was the irrational one for not accepting of this “bait & switch/unprofessionalism/foul language”. I did not request anyone’s contact information; still he loudly volunteered, “I’m the M-A-N-A-G-E-R and You Can’t Get Higher Than Me” as if he’s ‘the end-all/ be-all’ and can behave however he chooses. In my opinion, he should not be customer facing as he obviously has major mental health issues (repeatedly told me, “I don’t care … I don’t care …. I don’t care”). It’s true, he doesn’t care and consumers should at least be warned how this Tireland Auto Center is being operated.
