      At the end of October, our dryer stopped working. Turned out it needed a new belt and pulley. Our regular service provider (KMR Appliance Repair) was busy at the time so I called a different company. "Better Care Appliance Repair" The Irony is not lost on ***** ailing husband was here to deal with the repair technician at the time. I was at work. He was shocked at the price after the repair was done. Also he was not given an invoice. I feel, due to his compromised health, he was taken advantage of. I was horrified when I got home later that day to see that we were charged $584.07!! for the replacement of a belt and pulley!I called our regular repair shop and got an itemised quote for the repair. It was quoted at ******, Maximum he said. That was for an hour labour and he said it would likely only take a half hour...40.00 less in other words $251.91 I called "Better Care", it took me a while to get a response, and asked for an invoice to be emailed to me. I have attached it.I called back and said that I would like to speak to the owner after the manager said, "what their technician's charge is out of their hands." She told me I would have to deal with the technician myself!The owner ****** ***** emailed and said that he could not reimburse me, that we had agreed to the charge before the repair was completed. This is a lie.An estimate was NOT approved prior to the repair. I will attach his email as ******* I have any recourse?? I will report to the Better Business Bureau, but otherwise I don't know what I can do.This is very bad business, especially taking advantage of an ill senior citizen!!

      Echoing what was mentioned by ************ below. Terrible company. They charged us more than 3x the cost of the replacement item, and it also took them MULTIPLE visits to figure out what was wrong. This was all despite the technician telling us that they will charge us AT COST for the item, and we were being charged for the service fee. IF you do decide to move forward with this company (which I would personally recommend against), I would recommend doing your research on how much replacement products cost. Better Care Appliance will charge you an arm and a leg for something you can get for significantly cheaper elsewhere.
