I encountered a series of deceptive practices at ******'s Best Value Inn on *************** when trying to rent a one-bedroom suite advertised on Kijiji for $1400 per month.Timeline of Events: * Initial Inquiry: I inquired online and was told the room was available. * First Visit: The clerk insisted on a credit card despite the ad stating they accepted cash. * Second Visit: They refused my **** Debit card despite confirming online that it was acceptable. * Phone Call: They confirmed the room was available but increased the price to $1600. * Third Visit: The clerk denied any monthly rentals were available, despite online assurances. * Confrontation: The clerk became verbally abusive and falsely accused me of threatening him to the police.Impact:This "bait-and-switch" tactic has left me without housing and at risk of breaching my court-ordered curfew.Desired Resolution:I seek assistance in holding Canada's Best Value Inn accountable for their deceptive practices and securing the advertised accommodation at the advertised price or discounted price.
