I bought a tub from Andrew Sheret it was cased in wood and very dirty/dusty when we picked it up. I did inspect it to the best of my ability and when the contractor installed the tub, he mentioned there was scratches on the tub and that they probably could be fixed with an easy buff. I called Andrew Sheret Ltd and told them about the scratches and they gave me a polish to try. The polish did not take the scratches out so I called Andrew Sheret Ltd again and they sent out a repair man and the repair man informed us that the company ****** suppliers of the tub would not have tried to repair the tub in this way and so this was not a warranty issue and that he could probably not repair this anyways. I called Andrew Sheret Ltd. and talked to the manager Mike and Mike came out to look at the tub and gave me some options. I could get 50% refund, repair with only minor defects after or exchange without the cost of installation. I chose to get it repaired and the repair guy came out and the results were not minor defects after. It uncovered the original damage that someone tried to cover. The repair guy said if he goes any further it could get worse. So, I emailed Mike and told him what happened and that I would like 50% refund and he offered $125.00 because it was my reasonability to inspect and return the tub if there was damage. I don't understand why the company is not responsible to inspect the tub before they even accept it from there suppliers. How come the tub wasn't inspected before I received it by them? How is it the customers responsibility to be the only quality inspector? Andrew Sheret sells bathtubs and are supposed to specialize in bathtubs. I have a damaged tub that can't be fixed, and I paid the price of a new tub. I would like a 50% refund ($425.00) I would hope that Andrew Sheret would improve on their quality control/inspection in house instead of passing reasonability only on its customers.
