I had my clutch repaired by this business at the end of May. Three days later while driving from Kelowna to Vernon my car breaks down. I had it towed back to Rutland Auto Repair as they offer one year warranty on parts and labour assuming this was related to the clutch work. I was informed it was a timing belt and that repair would cost me $2000 as I had just paid almost $1500 for the clutch and purchased new tires, I felt I was stuck between a rock and a hard place whether I should spend another $2000. I reluctantly agreed to have the job done at $2000. During the time the car was at the shop I called several times to find out the status and was informed they were waiting for the parts. Finally received a call that the car was ready but was informed that the job was now going to cost me $4000. The car is not worth it. It is a 2007 ******* ****** that has far over 200000 klm. When I arrived at the shop to discuss the issue I was informed that the car was back on the hoist. I waited over a half hour and was told it would be 5 mins. I became very uncomfortable about the entire matter and left. I came back the next day and asked them to honour the original quote he said no and was told he would sell the car. I went to remove my personal items and was told I could not. I said legally I have every right to remove my personal items. They now have my car and it has caused my stress and distress. I need it to get to doctors, pick up prescriptions and groceries. * ** * ****** ***** *** **** **** * ** ***** ***** ********* ***
