    FortisBC engages in less than ****** business dealings. I sold my house and notified FortisBC that the account was being closed and gave them the final date. They took the final reading and because I was on an equal billing plan, I had a Credit to my account for the final bill that was mailed to me. I waited for 3 weeks for a refund cheque to be mailed to me. After not receiving it, I contacted FortisBC and was told that they don't issue refund cheques until a customer phones in to request one. I was also told that it takes up to 6 weeks after the refund is requested before the cheque will be issued. I expressed to them my dissatisfaction with the process and the lack of *******. Their reply amounted to "***** **** *** ******** ******* **". So if they owe you money and you don't chase them you are never going to get it. ********** pure and simple. Avoid FortisBC
