The company was horrible to deal with due to the lack of communication. Their employees stole 2 electric bicycles and I was able to recover one of the bikes from their employee. The owner apologized and said that due to all the facts that they would reimburse me for the other stolen bike. He does not want this information to go public. Since we spoke last(2 weeks ago) the owner Mike is no longer returning my calls. Also there are still issues with the roof that are yet to fix and I have paid them in full.

    Hi Andrew,

This is a strange case.   We have gone through a lot of info.

Phone calls, our records show there were 37 phone calls between Mike and Jared from April 18th – Aug. 15th.   All unanswered calls were returned that day or the next day.   Between June 3rd  and June 27th, Mike was on his back sick with a lung infection.   There were 11 calls  on July 8th.

In regards to the workmanship, there was a couple eyebrows that were noted and we were to come fix when we were in the area.   We hadn’t been in the area yet.   July 6th picked up material to fix.   A few other aesthetic issues were found then that were taken care of.   There were a couple times we were to go there but Jared had reasons to come another day.   July 12th, Jared called the GAF rep.   The rep called me and thought that was a strange call.

On July 13th, Jared told Mike about some stolen bikes from March 2nd.   Mike wanted info about that so finally Jared gave Mike a couple RCMP file numbers.   Mike followed up with the RCMP about this and they told Mike that they didn’t need to talk to Mike.   After this, Jared denied talking to the RCMP, so something doesn’t seem right.   Then Jared said he found 1 bike and that he bought stolen bike online.   Why would he admit to selling stolen property???   Lots of stuff was told to Mike that didn’t make sense.   Mike told Jared that if one of our guys stole it, we would pay for it.   No proof was ever given.   The RCMP wouldn’t say anything.   Mike couldn’t find anything.   Why would we pay for something if we weren’t responsible for it.

Jared’s roof was completed July 26th and Mike and Jared shook hands.   But Jared is on this bike issue that no one can show if it was us.   Did the RCMP find different info?

Beginning of March we were working in Lake Country.

Let me know if there is anything else.

    Thanks,

I am rejecting this response because:

Mike is aware that the bike was recovered from one of his employees.

The employees are pointing their fingers at each other.

The metal roof has not been completed in one section nor have the foam backings been installed.

Mike agreed that the circumstances surrounding the stolen bikes point at his company. Mike did shake my hand and said he would either find the stolen bike or purchase a new one for me. After 2 weeks he let me know that his partner Terry disagreed with him and unless I can get his employees to admit it to them they are going back on their wrod

    Sincerely,

    Hi Andrew,

When Mike was there last time finishing up the issues, Jarod and Mike shook hands and Jarod was appreciative that Mike came down over a few days to clean everything up.   Jarod said at that he was very appreciative that the issues were taken care of.   In this industry, that doesn't happen too often.

With the bike.   If one on the crew took it, then we are responsible to replace it.   That is what Mike has talked to him several times about.   If someone else took it, why should we replace replace it.   We have asked our guy probably a couple dozen times if he took it or knows who may have.   Every time he says no.   We shouldn't have to keep bullying this guy.   If Jarod knows who took it, it should be given to the RCMP.

Thanks for your involvement in this.

    Terry
