Secure-Rite dropped off a container on my private property for days. I did not order this nor did I see it occur. I have been contacting them for days to remove it, and they have not answered me. I cannot access my garage nor my backyard gate. The police said the only way I can deal with this is to remove it myself and at my expense. The City of ******* will not touch other people's private property they told me. Since the container is about 4" from my garage's ***** trough and on my concrete parking pad, I am concerned they are going to do damage when they remove it.

      To Whom It May Concern,

Secure-Rite would never deliver a container on private property without the permission of the homeowner, and we did not do so in this case.  Several weeks ago, our client asked us to place a container in the back alley behind their property.  *********** policy, prior to delivery, Secure-Rite conducted a site visit to ensure we could place the container safely, without blocking City access in the alley for fire trucks and garbage trucks.  After determining that we could accomplish this safely, we asked our client to check in with the neighbour as their garage access would be blocked by the container for the short while it was in place.  Our client checked with his neighbour (the mother/month-in-law of the homeowner answered the door) and she gave full permission to place the container, stating that they never access their garage.

After conducting the site visit and receiving permission from the neighbour, we then booked delivery of this container, and completed the delivery in the morning on Friday, December 6, 2024.  Everything went as pre-arranged and planned.  We didnt hear anything from anyone before our business hours ended at 5pm on Friday.  Our website and ****** My Business Listing are very clear that we are closed on Saturday and Sunday, so we didnt receive any of the calls, emails, website chats from ******* ****** until Monday morning.

As soon as we learned of Michaels concerns related to this container, we brought a driver in from his day off.  This driver and Branch Manager went to the delivery site in question this morning.  We spoke with our client, who informed us that the fire department had come past on the weekend and stated that there was no problem with the container placement from their perspective.  We then spoke to *******, who claimed that his mother/mother-in-law has dementia and shouldnt have been trusted to give permission.  As he was telling us this, she came out and articulated that she remembered the conversation, confirmed she had given permission, and repeated that she still didnt think there was a problem with the container.  After speaking with our client and this homeowner, we loaded up the container and took it back to our yard.

The container is no longer in the back alley and ******* now has full access to his garage.  We believe that we have responded to this situation in a fair and very timely manner.  Since Secure-Rite followed procedure, obtained permission in advance, and removed the container quickly, we will not be offering any compensation to *******.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, or wish to clarify any of these comments.  Thank you!
