    On April 15th, I saw a 2020 ****** **** online and went to see it at Buy Direct Truck Centre in *******. A salesman told me it was in great condition. When I arrived, I was told it got "scuffed" in the parking lot so they had to buff it out and then tried to push me to test drive a car I didn't want. I went back later that day to see it and there was a dent/scratch on the back side of the vehicle. They said it was nothing, it was in great condition and still the full listed price at $33,995. I requested the ****** report and they brought out wrinkly printed out papers (attached) that were printed on Oct 15, 2022. I asked for a recent report but they said they only pay once, it was accurate and the car was in great condition with NO accidents, per the report.I requested a copy of a recent inspection - nothing by them was on the ****** report. They sent someone "to the ******* dealership they are associated with" and was told they couldn't find it. They said it was fully inspected by *******, repeatedly saying it had no collisions/flaws despite being hit earlier that day. They said they couldn't get the inspection report until Monday and pressured me to put down a $500 deposit to hold the car saying the price would no longer be negotiable, telling me to put down money down without knowing the condition or what happened while it's been in their possession. I had no way to know if it had been in any accidents since Oct or if it was it was sold and returned by an additional owner without an updated report. They lied, saying the ****** report showed everything.While they pushed me to give a deposit, I ordered my own ****** report on my phone (attached). It showed a collision in February 2023 while the car was IN THEIR possession. They knew the car had been in a crash and not only didn't disclose it, but lied, withheld information, and were using an old report to show that the car hadn't been in any accidents - all while trying to pressure me into paying a deposit.

    Customer never purchased a vehicle or did a transaction of any kind. Had a bad experience at the store. I agree the staff at Buy Direct dropped the ball in regards to service provided and this experience will be used as a training example to make sure it never happens again. With talking to the staff involved there was defiantly some miscommunication and understanding from both parties.

    I understand the customer no longer feels good dealing with Buy Direct and I wish the customer well on there vehicle shopping.

    I am rejecting this response because: Two salespeople and the finance manager are actively misleading customers, using inaccurate and outdated documentation, and concealing information regarding details that significantly impact the listed price of the vehicle (a collision while the vehicle was in their possession). They are still advertising this vehicle without disclosing any of the issues, and have not disclosed in the advertisements that the vehicle does not have an updated inspection. Other customers are going to be subjected to these illegal business practices and could end up buying a vehicle from them based on their misleading statements/advertising.
