They were supposed to install EV charger for my parking space in *****. When ***** came I emailed them to get the process going, they proceeded to tell me someone will get in touch.Turns out, they outsourced my job to a different company whom ignored ALL my attempts to contact them for multiple months. Now, 8 months later, this company that didn't fulfill its obligation is now trying to charge me for work done and threatening to take me to court if I don't pay up. This is after ghosting me for almost half a year. You can see in the emails we started arrangements in *****, they never followed up on installation and then in June started trying to charge me for work they never did. I think this was horrible management and practice on Steam Energy Systems Inc.'s part and they shouldn't expect consumers to pay for their negligence.

In response to the Complaint ******** lodged against Stream Energy, **** states:

They were supposed to install EV charger for my parking space in *****. When ***** came I emailed them to get the process going, they proceeded to tell me someone will get in touch. Turns out, they outsourced my job to a different company whom ignored ALL my attempts to contact them for multiple months.

In response to this statement Stream Energy offers the following rebuttal:

As evidenced by the email **** ***** provided in the complaint; **** requested a Level 2 EV charger be installed at his parking stall #*** on March 30, 2024.
Stream Energy the contact **** ***** on ***** 2, 2024, to schedule a Level 2 charger that he requested to be installed in his parking stall. On that date it was explained to **** that ************** will be the installing contractor.
************** began construction, provided engineering, and pulled an electrical permit for the installation of the Level 2 charger.
On or about two weeks later, **** cancelled the installation of the Level 2 EV charger after permit & installation arrangements were in process.
Berts Electric invoiced Stream Energy for the cost of the electrical permit purchased for Tonys EV charger installation.
On May 30, 2024, Stream Energy invoiced **** $500 for the permit cost which incurred prior to the cancellation. (see attached invoice ****). This invoice was sent to **** on a monthly basis until it worked its way through the 120 day billing cycle.
On December 4, 2024, a final reminder e-mail notice was sent to **** stating:
This is your final reminder that you have outstanding invoices #****, dated May 30, 2024, for the permit cost of a Level 2 EV Charger installation at the Quattro 3 facility, that you canceled after permit for installation had been purchased. Your account is past due and has a total balance of $500.00. Attached is a copy of the unpaid invoices. Please check your records and let us know if the payment is being processed. If this invoice is not paid within the next ten (10) days, (December 14, 2024), Stream Energy will be forced to move forward with litigation in small claims.

**** responded using foul language that the cost of the permit should be voided. He then threatened to file a complaint with the BBB.
Because **** has refused to pay this invoice over the last 6 months, Stream Energy is in the process of taking him to small claims for payment.

If you need any additional information on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind regards,
