    Canadian Tire case number ********* They would not honor a Refund Card saying it had expired. I was not told anything about an expire date when they gave it to me.
    They now have the item that I brought back and my money. I do not see any difference between this and ******** money.

    Hi there, 

    All refund cards do expire after a year. However, they can contact the cooperation and they can reactivate the card or they can send a new one. I followed up with the cooperation on this to see what happened because they would normally reissue it for the customer as we cannot do that at store level. The refund card is from over 3 years ago. They did reactivate it for the customer originally at that time but again the customer again did not use it and now its been a couple of years.  So they told the customer they would not be reissuing due to the significant amount of time that has passed. If the customer would like to come into the store, I can issue just a brand new one, but it would all have to be used at that time as we cannot be going years 2-3 years between uses of the card. They are not the same as a gift card. If the customer is interested in that then they can contact me at the store. My name is Ashley. That would be the only way to solve it at this point. 

    Can I also ask that BBB makes sure that my email is on file to receive the complaints. Its December 9th and this is the first time I have been notified of this when the original complaint was on November 25th. Thank you.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I called over to the Maple Ridge store and talked to a manager named Brad and he told me to bring to bring this letter over to the store. My wife and I did just that and ended up talking to a manager named Roger and he claimed first of all that the Better Business Bureau is nothing more than a ***** and secondly that there is nobody named Ashley even works in the store. I assured him that I had just talked to Brad and he assured me that there was a person named Ashley that worked in the store, Roger then started to try and walk back his comment about there being nobody named Ashley. He read the email and claims that it did not come from anybody in Canadian Tire.

    Basically, I am just getting the run around up to this point. It would be nice to find out whom actually wrote the email.
