3 Plants were bought for $30 from this woman who said they were bee balm. My daughter believed her but on inspection a couple of days later I saw they an invasive species called mountain bluet and not what the seller said they were. Unfortunately this was several hundred miles away now and unable to return them.Unable to sell them to recoup the loss due to the fact they are on BC invasive plant list.the woman *** Nason is very unapologetic and even told me that was what they called "bee balm" in Lumby which was a very stupid thing to say. She took advantage of my daughter who was just trying to do something nice for me.

These plants that were sold to the woman's daughter are Bee Balm and not an invasive species under any circumstances.  this woman has been rude and threatening and I have not heard from the daughter at all.  I will gladly return her money when the plants are returned

    Yours truly,

I am rejecting this response because: Samantha is not telling the truth.  I approached her in a very friendly manner just stating that she had made a mistake in selling the plants for $30 saying they were bee balm when in fact they are mountain bluet - an invasive species.  She laughed and said that was what they called bee balm in Lumby.  I explained that they are quite different plants and that the leaves are a totally different shape and there is no scent to mountain bluet.

I asked her to return the money as I could not possibly resell the plants as I could not ethically do so when they were listed on the Government of BC list of Invasive species.  I know mountain bluet very well having once had quite a lot of it growing on a property I once owned.  She actually joked she was going to write an article about it...which I did not find very funny.

As far as I am concerned this simple mistake could have been resolved very easily - we could have split the difference but she is a very arrogant and ignorant woman could not admit to making a mistake.

Why on earth would I complain if she hadn't treated me in a dismissive and rude manner.  I know there will be a record of this complaint on BBB.  I just wished she had done the right thing.

I enclose 3 photographs of the plants she sold me (through my daughter) which any basic gardener could tell you aren't bee balm (monarda) but the invasive mountain bluet.

Thank you for your time and I don't suggest anyone ever buy plants from this very rude woman as she has no idea what she is doing.

    Sincerely,
