Avoid High Demand Heating services if possible, and if really have to, be cautious of their technicians dirty trick. I was charged hundreds of dollars to fix a fireplace, but the technician failed to repair it. When I told him I would think about whether to proceed with ordering a new part (which would cost even more), he sneakily cut the wire connected to the high-heat sensor before putting everything back together, also tempered other wire connections, making it impossible for someone else to fix it. Thankfully, I had taken photos before he arrived, which helped me catch him. My wife offered him water while he was waking and thinking he was doing a good job. I wonder if he choked on that water. God knows everything, and I trust he will get what he deserves. Contacted owner, got all kinds of excuses and cover-ups. Just avoid answering why the cable was cut. Acting as couldnt understand human language.

Dear Mr *********** a thorough in-company discussion, wed like to clarify the situation. At no point were any wires "cut" during the service visit. Your fireplace is old, and our technician informed you that several parts needed replacing. Before replacing the gas valve, with your agreement, we addressed other problematic components. After installing these parts, the technician attempted to run the unit with you and noted that the unit wasn't functioning, leaving the wires in the back unplugged. If you were dissatisfied with our service, we offer a one-year warranty on service calls and would have been more than willing to assist you had you contacted us. Although we tried to explain the process, you suggested and were committed to there being foul play. Initially, we agreed to offer you an e-transfer and let you keep the parts if you reconsidered your review. However, after reviewing the language in your review, especially the comment about choking on water towards our technician, we decided against providing the e-transfer and parts. We feel bullied and threatened by such comments directed at our long-standing technician, in whom we have the utmost confidence. We hope this response is fairly interpreted by everyone who reads it. Our primary goal is customer satisfaction, but we will not tolerate being bullied or disrespected.

To answer Owner's reply:What does satisfaction mean to you? The tech replaced two parts but did not resolve the issue. It's clear to anyone that the old parts were functional. Yet, you still charged $500 more, with each part costing significantly above market price. Is this your standard? We paid, nonetheless.Even after that, he cut the wiring in a way that made future repairs more complex and costly. I believe you have reviewed the photos I provided which clearly marked missing parts.Just because the unit is old doesnt give you the right to cut anything from it. Its a good thing the fireplace is old, as it made the cut obvious to see. It is so fresh and at a 45-degree angle. Well done. But you should know the purpose of the high-temperature heat sensor, yet you left the customers property at great risk by cutting the wire. Do you think this shows respect for the customer?Intentionally damaging or sabotaging equipment to make repairs more difficult or costly, and then using that situation to demand a higher price, is unethical. It is a form of manipulation or fraud. It violates trust and professional standards. Actions like these could lead to legal **************** I understand the ready why he oddly wrapped that blanket to hide the section of wire and the wire nut took from our ******* also unsure how much value "long-standing technician" status adds here. On another platform, people mentioned the same person working on fireplaces, but with various mess-*** reported.

I have used Demand both to service my furnace and my gas fireplace. The technician was punctual, polite and very knowledgeable about both systems with lots of advice for aftercare. This is a great local company to use in the Maple Ridge area, I have no problems recommending them, they provided the exact service that I required at reasonable prices. Thank you!

Their experienced service technician, Alex, * ***** ***** ********, did a fabulous job in our December 2023 furnace and duct cleaning with all vents. He was transparent, honest and communicated well with our family and gave us good tips about vent electrical units to draw more heat and distribute it better through our home. I have no qualms in recommending this company. Moving forward we will get cleaning done every 3-4 years. Thank you... ****** *****, ****

Seniors beware. My furnace stopped working during the worst cold-snap in December 2022 with temperatures averaging minus 6. High Demand came the same day and promised the new motor would be in the next day. Due to "circumstances" it was 7 days later before the new motor was finally installed. We had to purchase electric heaters to keep the pipes from freezing. Now, there is no complaint about the service from High Demand but a big complaint about their up-charge for the replacement motor. I discovered after the fact that the exact same motor that High Demand had charged me $687.00 actually cost $125. (or less for High Demand as I am not a dealer.) High Demand charged me… Initial service call $152.50 – no problem Installing the new motor - $180.00 – no problem Replacement motor $687.00 ? Total $1,020 + taxes When I challenged the serviceman about the motor cost the following week I believe he was embarrassed, and he promised a $150 reimbursement. That never happened though I tried contacting the company via email on more than one occasion Yes, I believe that the serviceman judged my age and figured that charging some guy who is 75, 5 times the cost of the motor would somehow be appropriate.

Our furnace stopped working right at the beginning of the cold snap this year and I phoned for help. The technician came within 5 hours of my call, was thorough and even had the part that needed to be fixed in his van. My furnace was fixed in an hour and for a reasonable price. He was kind, and took the time to explain what was happening. I would phone again if we ever need service. Thank you!
