      In November of 2023, we hired TEK to replace our residential home heating system from gas to a new heat pump. We paid TEK a $12,214.53 deposit prior to the commencement of work. On November 8th, 2023, TEK began the process of installing our new heat pump system made by ********. The install took 3 full days to complete. We paid the remaining amount of $12,214.53 upon conclusion (total paid to TEK was $24,429.07). We were very happy with the customer service and with the install initially, however we began to experience issues with certain aspects of the indoor mini-split wall units. 2 out of the 4 wall units were not functioning properly and over a period of several months, several TEK technicians made numerous service calls in efforts to rectify the issue. During this time they kept in communication and would return our phone calls. We did feel that *** was legitimately attempting to resolve the issue in the beginning. *** told us that they had submitted a Warranty replacement request for the 2 malfunctioning units a few months ago. We were told that ******** was telling TEK that they were not in stock and were on back order. Approx 2 months ago, we were told that it will be 2 weeks for the units to arrive, but as time went on, TEK started to avoid our phone calls with numerous VM messages being left. They have completely stopped returning our calls and have only sent us 2 text messages reassuring us that they haven't forgotten about us. No update with respect to their communication and interaction with ******** on the status of the replacement units. The last couple of VM messages left with *** specifically requested a phone call return from the manager with hopes of resolving the issue. Still no return call or anything from TEK. With no resolution in sight we attempted to determine whether or not our system had actually been registered with ******** for warranty purposes, and they could not help us, that TEK would need to make those inquiries on our behalf.

      Hello 

      WE are very sorry for the delay but we have been fighting with the manufacture but the heads are still on back order. We when you were told 2 weeks I actually purchased some heads online at our cost not warranty they told us 2 weeks for delivery but we still haven't received yet. As soon as the heads show up we can come fix the issues but until then there's really nothing we can do.

      It is good to see a response.  We were concerned from the lack of communications that you are no longer in business.
      We have contacted the manufacturer but they were unable to confirm if the units were registered or if a warranty was submitted for them.  As this is the manufacturer of your choosing, when would you reasonably expect a resolution from them?  As we are heading into the busy work season for heating, how likely are we to receive replacement units at all?  How feasible is it to replace them with a different product?
      If this is your home, having spent $24,336.95 ($11,000 of which is government money spent in good faith), and still without adequate heating/cooling after almost a year, what would you do to rectify the problem?

      My Heat Pump was installed on October 24th and they finished the electrical installation on October 25th. Since then no one came from the company to check if the installation was done properly and the unit is working fine or not because the electrician who came to do the electrical part was a contractor and knew nothing about the Heat Pumps. I am now regretting why I paid $2k more for a ****** unit than what I was being offered by a local technician who has been serving our neighbours for last 2-3 years. I thought they are a renowned company with excellent reviews but now I feel it was my biggest mistake that I trusted them. They first of all delayed my installation by 2 days after committing the date. Even on my repetitive requests that the unit is making weird noises and it’s not warming the way it should at a desired temperature level but they did not bother to send someone urgently to fix the issue, they gave me an appointment after 2 weeks. My unit has been completely dead after a lot of light flickering incidents and showing P4 error message. I fear to turn it on as it might create other issues to our power line. I have also filed a written complaint to ****** company for their pathetic service and so far they have also not replied. It's been more than 3 days and we are without a heat pump in this cold weather. I would want this unit to be exchanged as early as possible. Even after 2 months of this installation, I still do not have their invoice sent to me. This is the level of service they provide. * **** **** **** ******* ** * ****. I have attached the loan agreement from the finance company for you reference.

      This has been taken cared of. The customer reached out to us and we mentioned that we are going to look in to it. We started the warranty process but because it was holiday and ****** was closed, we couldn't get the final decision right away. The customer is aware that we are working on it at the back end. Dec 29th we got the Decision from the manufacturer that the replacement of the outdoor unit has been approved. We also informed the customer and we needed to wait for the equipment to arrive since it's shipped from Calgary. We then replaced the outdoor unit and made sure everything is working before our crews life the site address. We called the customer to check up on him to make sure the unit is running and that he is not having any issues anymore. The customer confirmed everything is all good in his end.
