    I bought a transmission for my 1999 vw beetle..from this mechanic shop..I was told it was in working order ..when I could afford to have it installed..the transmission was taken out of a dry storage area..and was given to the same shop that ordered it..3 days after I was informed that the the transmission was seized and could not be used...they said the warranty was up and they would not refund my money...I also told them not to drive my vw as the transmission in it had a hole In it..I believe that they indeed drive my vw..and caused further damage to my car..when I picked up my car there was more holes in my transmission..he also told me my transmission was strong and the clutch had a shutter...if u didn't drive it ..u would no this information..I have repeatedly asked for my money back and have had no response..they had also worked on my sons 2012 ***** silverado and botched the wheel bearings and a welded exhaust. They wheel bearing were faulting and he owes him replacements as well..unbelievable service..he should have his license taken away so no one else has to be subjected to this treatment...

    Good Morning,  this is *** from 3 Peaks Mechanical. how are you? This is a respond for Mrs. ********* complain regarding the transmission and wheel bearing. First, she's not the customer that we are dealing with, and the invoice is not under her name, it's under her son's name, which is in the right age and an adult. it's her son who came to the shop and order the parts. Her son ordered the transmission from us (which is also I sourced out from wrecker, cause we are not a wrecker.) The transmission has been purchased last year, July 2023, told her son that the transmission do only have 3 months warranty from the wrecker, which is the standard warranty for most auto wreckers, and how many times I clarify the warranty from the wrecker and offered if he wants us to install, but the son told me that he will install it himself. He picked up the transmission himself on a pallet, drove it home (don't know how they stored the transmission) and came back after a year to get us to install it. Brought the transmission to the shop this year July 2024, and looks like the transmission was sitting outside, told them the transmission is seized, we did not  look inspect ****** when it arrived (its in a pallet) as the son come to get it to install himself. For the wheel bearing, her son came to the shop saying the wheel bearing is making noise on his truck , ordered the parts and booked him on June 24, 2024 for a warranty of a wheel bearing replacement warranty appointment, texted him that day, (save it in my conversation in my phone still) he didn't message/call or reply that he is not showing up on his appoinment, came in to the shop after few weeks, I again did remind him when he is able to come and get it done the wheel bearing warranty replacement, still didn't get an answer from him. I already politely explained to her even she's not the one who is I'm supposed to be dealing with, Mrs. ********* also mentioned that she is coming to see us in the shop, and we are just waiting for her to show up until now, we are not treating her bad as she has mentioned. We have no problem switching the wheel bearing on his truck for warranty at no charge, truck has to be in the shop to get the wheel bearing switched. Wheel bearing is just sitting in the shop since June 2024  when he booked that appointment.

    I am rejecting this response because:The transmission that was sold to us 1 year old was seized when it was sold to us.This car is my car ..my son was just paying for the repairs ..This transmission was in a dry storage area and the reason it was not installed right away.we had a estate issue at our home thats why we took it back to three peaks to have it installed there .. the other mechanic said there no way it had that damage to the transmission from it sitting in a dry storage area ..there was water sludge and rust that was in there for way longer than we had it ..he said it had to been recieved that way...now I have to buy another transmission and get new mechanic shop to installed it costing me twice as much..I'm a disabled person and need this vehicle to go back and forth to hospital..This mechanic from 3 peaks said to my son that our  transmission was strong and sound and that our clutch had a flutter. Now how do u no that unless u drive it u were told not to drive it..that is had a hole in it..now it has several..because u didn't listen..do the right thing and don't rip people off ..we want our money back..

    Good afternoon, I'd try my best to resolve this situation, but my hands are tied. I can't issue a refund as I ordered it from the auto wrecker who has only 3 months warranty from the date purchased.

    I am rejecting this response because: you sold us a seized transmission..the only solution to this is our money back. You have cost me time and money and I'm still waiting to get my vw fixed..leaving me with no vehicle..if you practice good business you would refund your mistake...I repeat your mistake
