****** ***** **** She said that we would book a wedding trial in the new year. The new year comes with no communication, so I booked a separate service in February. We discussed booking a trial during that visit but still no booking. April comes and I ask again. Now she won't have time until the end of June! The date she chose was already past the cancel date despite repeated requests. Red Flag! Not much choice, so I booked it.
The trial was NOTHING like I had asked for. The makeup application was patchy and harsh on my eyes/brows especially and it didn't look natural at all. She did a hairstyle I specifically said I didn't want, even though she told me the style I had asked for would be "easy" prior. She glued my eyelashes together; my left eyeliner was a different shape than my right, and one eye wing was broken into two (she later claimed I DID THIS). The eye makeup applied was unblended and unflattering and she did not use mascara at all. I said I didn't like the look and a girlfriend of mine witnessed this. It was embarrassing to wear this look out for the rest of the day. I reached out the next day and explained what I was unhappy with, and she offered no input. I got the sense that she didn't like criticism (even though I made sure to be honest AND respectful). Communication going forward with her was unhelpful at best. I asked to book a second trial, she said she couldn't accommodate me so I offered the appointment time I'd booked. Morning of trial she says that she is cancelling. At this point I'm frustrated and feeling like this service does not matter to her. Her final balance had two extra service charges that were never in the contract. When I corrected her regarding the new quote, it was only *** less? When pressed on this she claimed it was taxes but how can two whole services only equal *** less, even with taxes? I fired her as she seemed very dishonest and uncaring. She began LYING after, saying she offered a 2nd artist which NEVER happened, and claimed she was being harassed. All untrue and possibly slander. it took two days of emails and arguing before she returned all funds. Won't ever recommend.
