Went out on a day that was too rough and spent four hours in a very uncomfortable state. Although we were told it was too rough to go out into the Strait of Georgia, we did so. My wife and I thought we were going to have a problem because the seas were so rough. The boat we were in almost "submarined" on several occasions **** ** **** ** *** ******. The tour was unsafe, very rough, and way overpriced. (we were not complaining about not seeing whales as we understand the tour can't control that) We attempted to resolve/receive a refund from the operator to no avail. Currently, I could not recommend this tour at all.

Hi Kevin, Thank you for the feedback, I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your experience with us. The sea conditions that we face during our tour can be quite variable, and the call on routing for the day depends on the captain onboard assessing the sea state as we travel. Plans can change from leaving the dock to once we are out there, which would explain the change in route for that day. We would never take a route if it was dangerous or considered to be unsafe for our vessels. We also encourage our guests to let the crew know if they are feeling uncomfortable so that adjustments can be made during the tour itself. After discussions with your crew from the day, no one informed the staff that they were feeling uncomfortable or needing a break during the tour, which is why the search for whales continued with only the stops for other wildlife. Without information from the guests, we don’t know if they need a break. As per our “no-whale” policy we don’t issue refunds in the case of a tour not seeing a whale, instead you received a voucher which can be used to come out again with us for free anytime.
