This week I hired this company to trap and relocate a menace skunk from my yard. I called at 6:30am yesterday to advise the skunk had been trapped. A employee showed up at 9am, went and looked at the skunk, then left saying he would be back. He never returned. The poor thing was left in full sun, in 30 degree weather, for 12 hours, despite multiple calls to report the animal in distress. When they finally arrived at 6:30pm, the employee put the skunk, cage and all, in a black garbage bag, tied it up and left. But not before making a joke about the relocation being to the pacific ocean. I feel like I was involved in a case of animal cruelty. So much for a humane relocation. This is not the service I agreed to pay for.

      Business Response

      To Whom it May Concern,

We have tried to call this customer several times since the complaint but have been unsuccessful. We have left several voice mails but have yet to get a returned call. I am not sure we need to make more calls, I feel that it is time for her to call us back if she still has an issue with our service.

We have spoken to our technicians and although the relocation did get delayed that the skunk was released in good health. I would like to apologize for that delay but like many companies right now staffing shortages have cause some challenges but we still managed to make this a successful job. Furthermore, we were still able to comply to **** standards of trapping and relocating in a timely, humane way therefore do not see a case of any animal cruelty.

I feel the alleged joke was inappropriate and would not not help in the situation that was clearly stressful on the customer.  Our technician did not make the joke about the Pacific Ocean, he says the customer may want to speak to her husband on that issue. Our technician has our full support and we are confident that he would never say that. He is an excellent and very professional employee with no history of complaints. The comment may have been heard incorrectly and maybe even out of context regardless it was not uttered by any one of our staff.

At this point I will take direction from BBB on what to do next.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: what a complete load of lies. I have called them back 5 times, the last being September 6th at 3:34pm. And I heard the conversation myself about the Pacific Ocean. No need to talk to my husband. I was right there. If they are not willing to own up to a complete botched job, that just proves this company should not be BBB accredited. I have also opened an investigation by the ******.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *******
