  My elderly mother used this guys shoe repair services a few times a year for the last handful of years and up until recently everything was ok. Then, a couple months ago she had him put new rubber soles on her shoes and within a relatively short time the soles started to separate from the shoes so she brought the shoes back to him to explain the problem but he quickly became angry and raised his voice with a couple of loud Hello! outbursts. His English is almost non-existent but he basically said not my work I guess implying that someone else put the rubber soles on the shoes. After a couple of minutes of this we told him that he lost a good customer and left.

  Beyond horrible and unprofessional customer service. I went in to pick up a pair of shoes my partner had dropped off for me and paid for in advance. I did not have the tag on me that neither of us were told was required to pick it up. The man working first yelled at me for not having the tag and that he couldn't help me. There were shoes just in piles on the floor and he was walking over them to get to the back of the shop. He then ignored me and started polishing some shoes. I had to talk to him repeatedly, practically begging him to help me before he would speak to me again. I was trying to ask if there was anything I could do for him to help me, such as show him a photo of the shoes or give him my partners information. All he would respond with was more yelling about how 'no tag, no shoes'. It was a really unnerving experience as he kept switching between yelling at me or ignoring me completely. I left the store in tears and without my shoes I had paid $90 to repair.

  This is not a professional business. When I took a brand new pair of all leather shoes in to change to rubber heels, I was quoted $30. and paid up front. When I went pick up these shoes, the shoe repairman had covered THE ALL LEATHER SOLES IN RUBBER and asked for another $20.!! When I asked told him I had not asked for this, nor authorized it, and would not pay for it, he tossed the shoes at me and told me never to return.This is extremely unprofessional in many aspects. He should not change my request to his wishes and then expect me to pay more than we agreed on. Why should this business be allowed to operate like this?In reviewing Capilano Cobbler on Yelp, there are several complaints about the poor service, attitude and abilities of this shoe repair. Should he be allowed to continue in this manner??
