They sold the same campsite twice and canceled my prepaid reservation because I had a break down dely in arriving and then refused to reimburse me for selling my campsite to someone else. Driving south from PG we had an overheated transmission in ******* 60km north of Pentiction and I was delayed 2 days arriving. I called 8 times from the time I broke down and only got an answering machine each time. I left messages that we would be delayed arriving because I had to wait for a transmission specialist to arrive. My filter on the motorhome transmission blew out and I was stuck until I could get it replaced. When I arrived at the campsite 2 days later for my 2 week vacation they already had someone in my site and said my reservation was a no show and I lost my prepaid money because the site had not been canceled 45 days prior, which was their policy. They said they had another site I could rent but I would not get credit for the money I already paid that money was gone and case closed. It would be $90 drop in rate a night rather than the $70 rate I paid for my reservation (July27 to August 11th 2024) that they could only guarantee night to night and not for my whole stay. Why I couldn't stay in the site I already paid for and why was someone else staying there if I already paid for it? They were very rude about it and didn't care that I tried to contact them about my delay but they would never answer their phone or return answering machine messages. My kids had hockey school for 2 weeks so we stayed in a hot parking lot at 37 degrees celcius with no power for air conditioning as I would not pay twice for the same one campsite. If a campsite is prepaid it is unethical to sell that campsite to someone else and bill twice for it leaving a traveling family stranded. In Pentiction they are sold out all summer so that is why I made the reservation a year in advance was to ensure we had a place to stay when we arrived. They upright stole my prepaid amount of nearly $900
