I have been renting a storage unit at the My Storage Spot business since March 4th. This storage uses electronic locks which open using an app on a cell phone. The main gate also opens with the app. Saturday (May 3) I went to get some of my belongingsin my unit but I couldn't access it because the battery on the unit lock was low. That's the message I was getting on my phone. The same message said to call to address the problem so I called the only number provided ************. This is a call center. I waited on the phone a while until I was told to leave a message. I did. I called again multiple times with the same result. It also said to phone or text so I also texted but with no replies to my 4 texts. I then drove home and received a call an hour later. I was told that they have to email a manager for the local person in charge of maintenance and that they probably wouldn't get anyone until Monday. I asked them at that time to give me a refund for the last payment I made and that I wanted to move my stuff out of their storage. They said they will notify management. On Monday (May 5) I called again to see if my unit was accessible and it wasn't. I was told again that they will email the manager to get someone there and that they will get in touch with me. They also said that they will put urgent on the email. Today, May 8, I went there but I still couldn't access my things for the same reason (the battery on the lock being low). I contacted them again from the storage and was told again that they will send an email to the manager to get someone there. I explained that this was the third time I was told this. I also reminded them about the refund and she said she will make a note...I would like to access my belongings. I just moved and about half my stuff is in there. Not being able to access my things is beyond unacceptable.
