I signed up to receive ****** training at this establishment. It was advertised as 2 days a week for 8 weeks long during evening hours. I paid a $150 deposit on March 21st and another $750 as a first instalment towards tuition on March 30th. I attended the first day of orientation and intro. When I arrived the following week the class was rushed, he repeated what he went over the week prior without new information, then he suddenly asked the whole class to start bringing models in on a daily basis and expected us to have some that day (without mentioning it ever before), or that we would have to go to ******** to advertise ourselves or practice on each other. This was not outlined as a requirement or part of the course outline. We do not get to learn if we dont have somebody to work on. So if there is no model available that day you dont get to do anything. I have asked various questions about what we will be learning about current techniques in barbering and he refused to talk about them. I cannot get a job if I dont know how to do the job!On top of this, I have a 6 month old at home that is having major separation issues since it takes me almost 2 hours to drive to class and another hour to drive home afterwards. It is much too far of a distance to be worth driving, paying for gas, being away from my infant, and then not getting to actually work on someone and learn. So I asked for a refund on my tuition portion. I understand keeping the deposit. But am I being refused a refund for something I can no longer attend and is unsatisfactory education. I will have to do something closer to home when my child is older. If this were made on credit I could easily ask for a charge back for unrendered services but since that is not the case Im at a loss. I paid $900 to attend orientation.

Dear ****** and the Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint from ***** *****.

Ms. ***** enrolled in our ****** program and attended two out of the three weeks covered by her $900 tuition payment. She later chose to withdraw due to personal reasons unrelated to our school. While we sympathize with her situation, our no refund policyclearly stated on our website and in the enrollment agreementwas acknowledged at the time of registration.

She also took time to consider the commitment with her husband and proceeded with full awareness of our terms.

Nonetheless, we offered her the option to use the tuition as credit toward a future course, which she accepted.

We value our students and strive to be fair and transparent. In this case, we believe the resolution offered was reasonable under the circumstances.

    Sincerely,
    ****** ******
