    We purchased a pack of Pumpkin seeds from WestPoint Naturals on May 10, 2025 through ******. 1. The listing photo of the package indicates "Proudly Canadian". However, when we received the product, we noticed "packaged in ******" label but no indication of the product origin.2. We went to company's website for information, but there is no information where the products is coming from.3. We contacted the company, asking to provide the information but they did not reply.We feel that it is misleading to indicate "Proudly Canadian", while selling products of foreign origin without disclosing it on the label. The company only packages imported goods and if so, the country of origin must be disclosed.

    Hello,  We have just found this consumer's email in the junk folder, which is unfortunate. We will respond to her directly now.

    We have two types of packaging:  clear stand up pouches with a branded sticker on the front.  These products always have country of origin printed on the back label.

    New branded packaging (printed bag, various colors).  These bags have not had country of origin on the back label which is a logistics issue that is currently being resolved.  These bags will have *** on the back label shortly.

    The branded packaging has a red maple leaf icon that says "women owned".  This is true.  Our facility is based in **************, we are 100% woman owned and a 100% Canadian operation.  We only sell in the Canadian market.  We do not have operations elsewhere.  We take great pride in being a local business.

    We package and distribute products from 35 countries, which is why we have always stated the ***.  All manufacturing is done in our Canadian facility.

    ****** does not generate enough organic pumpkin seeds to meet commercial demand, which is why they are sourced from another country.  Wherever we can and wherever the price is competitive, we prioritize Canadian products.  Unfortunately, ****** does not have the climate required to support commercial production for all products.

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  As stated, the *** on the branded packaging is being resolved.

    I purchased a bag of ********* Brazil organic nuts from a naturopath that I do not go to anymore and I thought this company that sold the nuts would be interested and more helpful as the nuts are rancid and so rancid in fact that if an unexperienced or young person would eat these nuts they would get very sick.I wanted the company to take my 2 phone calls seriously and perhaps reimburse me for the nuts and also check the batch and make sure no more would be sold as this is a very serious situation.I care about others as well.I phoned ***** and she was to get back to me however she did not. I got the same treatment from ******.Please advise me as what to do. Thank you very much.******* **********

    Hello,

    We have been in touch with Ms ********** about the bag of brazil nuts that she purchased.  Unfortunately, we cannot control how long a retailer keeps a product on their shelf.  We do print production lot numbers on our packaging so that we can trace a product.  We are implementing BBD (best before date) inclusion on our packaging, which will help the consumer hold the retailer accountable to not sell expired products.

    The brazil nuts are no longer available as there is a market shortage.  In lieu, and at Ms ************ request, we have sent her the equivalent amount of pine nuts.  This was Ms ************ request.  These products were delivered on April 3rd and their value exceeds the value of the brazil nuts that she purchased.

    We believe this matter to be concluded.
