On Jan 2, 2022 we contacted C&C Mechanical to investigate a plumbing issue. We were not provided with any hourly rates for the call out, however, assumed due to the holiday it would be a typical call out rate of approx. $250 for 1 hour or less. The technician arrived and was gone in 20mins. Although we provided the technician with a theory of what transpired, we indicated that the insurance company needed the technician to verify and test the theory. It took C&C 7 days to provide us a copy with the report. The report they provided had incorrect information as it indicated the technician completed repairs but there were no repairs completed as our insurance company instructed us not to have anything repaired until they were satisfied with the plumbers report. The report also failed to document what the problem was but instead indicated that the home owner had explained what happened. The details provided on the report did not accurately explain the issue. Certainly we would not have called a plumber to test and verify our theory if the insurance company would accept our explanation of what transpired. Therefore, the current report is completely useless in its current state. Additionally, the invoice was double ($550) what we expected it to be. I have contacted C&C several times through telephone and email to address this issue and have been continually ignored by the business development manager and the owner. C&C's accounts receivable department continues to send me emails indicating the invoice is outstanding. I do not think I should have to pay for an incorrect report for an amount that is double the typical call out rates for plumbers, especially when I was not advised of these excessive rates prior to scheduling the service. The current state of the report is completely useless. If C&C's technician failed to properly document the service call then we should not be responsible to pay for an incorrect report.

On June 29, C&C came in for a 15 minutes inspection and they sent me an invoice for 3.5 hours of labour. Then the real repair work on July 29th was less than an hour, they charged for 4.5 hours of labour. After I disputed the invoice, they couldn’t come up with an reasonable explanation and finally agreed to cut the hourly charge by half. Then one month later, they charged my credit card without my permission and claimed it to be my balance on account!
