On December 28th of 2021 on our return drive home to ************, **, we experienced a tire blowout.Luckily, Northland Hyundai dealership fit us into their schedule and found and installed the four tires we needed. On January 19, 2023, while having our car serviced at *** **** in ************** (wheel hub replacements) we were told that the tires were mismatched and did we understand the importance of running identical tires on all wheel drive vehicles. we do understand and this is why we spent the money to have 4 new tires with Northland when we only had one bad one.The difference between circumstances in the two brands is 16/32nds, far greater than ******s recommendation of <3/32. Due to this we had to buy 4 new tires from *** **** as driving on the mismatched tires can cause irreparable damage. Although I had taken the tires off in early April (replacing with *******) and put them back on in late October, I am not a tire expert and did not notice the difference. I have attempted to contact the *** ******** by both email (twice) and left 2 messages on his business phone, as well as speak to an employee on social media, we have had no reply from the company. The emails included photos of the invoice and of the two types of tires. We are very disappointed that we have had no reply from Northland and have had to buy four new tires as well as concerned about any potential damage which has resulted from this mismatch. Now that we have replaced all 4 tires as required by ****** we feel Northland should refund us for our purchase as well as cover repairs of any damage done to the drivetrain/transmission. Respectfully ***************************

At the end of July, 2022 we were driving our **** ******* ***** ** from Victoria to a vacation home in ********. Our vehicle broke down in ***** and had to be towed to Northland Hyundai in Prince George. Because it was a long weekend there was no one at the dealership. In order to carry on to Smithers we rented a vehicle from ********** *** ****** at the Prince George airporr. A week later we were told that our vehicle would need a new engine but the replacement costs and cost of the rental would be covered by Hyundai as a result of * ***** ****** *******. Three weeks later we got our vehicle back and again we were assured our vehicle rental costs would be covered. However we were charged over $2500 by ********** and still have not been reimbused by Hyundai in spite of numerous promises they would fix the problem. It now appears Hyundai has no intention of honouring the terms of the ***** ****** ******* and reimbursing us for the rental costs.
