    On July 21, 2022, ***** * *** ******** *** ** **** my husband answered a knock on the household door. It was a paving company in town saying it had leftover paving material from a commercial job in town, would he like to have our driveway repaved? He consulted me *** **** and said they would take $200. off if we paid $1000. in cash. I ******** agreed *** ****** ****. Next I hear a massive amount of noise outside the bedroom window which lasted at maximum, under half an hour. Their commitment to us was that all the new cracks in our driveway would be filled ******** ***** *** ** *** * ********* ******* ** *** **** *** **** ********* *** ******** ** ****** ** ***** and the drive would be like new again. ******* ** ** ******* I could not *** *** ** *** ** survey the job prior to money changing hands. The company drove off, continuing to door knock in the neighbourhood. The job was shoddily done, overspray everywhere including onto areas that should not have been sprayed. This included our very expensive and recent tile work and plants on the front of the house. The landscaper said it would cost more to replace the damaged tiles than the amount we paid for the paving job. This is the most horrible work I have ever seen. Some of the several attempts to contact the company have resulted in email feedback explaining it was likely a shift in the wind and not really their fault. A call to the owner said he would show up on Friday August 19th to look at the situation. Several calls went directly to his voice mail with no response and several emails and texts were not rsvp's to either. An post on the neighbourhood forum revealed more people **** ******** *** **** with similar disastrous results. We have taken photos of the work performed and have sent off to the company's email with no response whatsoever. Unfortunately, our camera system only retains film for 2 weeks and has since been erased. My fear is that we have no recourse due to paying in cash.
