Very dishonest, unethical company with highly questionable policies. Just read the reviews on here and TripAdvisor. The story always has the same ending with this company and that is that you will not be able to get 1 single ***** back of what you have paid them for any reason no matter what they tell you. Trust me on this, they lie. I cancelled a trip I had booked with them 8 months in advance. When I called to discuss cancelling my trip I was originally told that as long as the room got rebooked by someone else that I would get my money back. I explained that not losing my money was top priority and agreed to release the room. Months went by and when I followed up with them (after noticing the trip as being listed as full and had a waitlist online) the story changed and I was told that the ship had to sail full to get my money back. Think about this. 1. Nautilus is now holding monies from two sets of people for the same room. If you booked a hotel room, then cancelled, then the hotel rebooked that same room to a new guest who also pays a deposit, but keeps your money too unless the complete hotel sells out? This is a highly unusual business practice if not outright fraudulent. Based on this logos I could list a car for sale, take multiple deposits, then upon selling the car tell the other depositors that I didnt get as much for the car as Id like so I gonna keep their deposits. Does this seem reasonable? Also we are being asked to trust a company with serious reputation issues to be honest about the ship sailing full? I followed the trip online almost daily and it was sold out every single time I checked (I have numerous screen shots from multiple devices showing the trip as full for over a month). In addition, I was on the waitlist with confirmation emails. So when I called to get my funds back I was told I would be forfeiting my money! When confronted with the evidence of all this the company representative simple said sorry and hung up.

Purchased my trip august of 2018 to sail October of 2020. Trip was canceled in 2020 for obvious reasons. I had rescheduled for October of 2021. Upon flying from New York to California, the day of departure, about an hour before transportation was to pick us up and bring us to the port, we were notified the trip was cancelled due to weather and we’re offered the option of either still coming to Mexico and being comped wine tasting or if we purchased insurance, we could file a claim. We were assured this is exactly what the insurance was for. We opted to return home and file a claim. After trying to contact nautilus and Liveaboard for the necessary paperwork to file the claim, weeks and months went by. ** *** ** ******* **** **** *** ***** *** ***** **** **** *** Finally we received the letter needed for the insurance claim and filed. After the review process, our claim was denied on all counts saying we were offered a different option in place of the cage diving. Call me crazy but a few bottles of wine does not equal the excitement of seeing great whites. Also to note, we would have had to pay for accommodations, food and other necessities while in Mexico that we would not of had to pay for if we were on the trip. I know weather is unpredictable but to outright refuse a refund and then with their “partner” insurance company to deny the claim. * ***** ****** ******* **** ***** *********
