Our hot water tank has finally met its end and basically my garage was like a sauna. I reached out to Black Fern Plumbing and Gas, and Cam knew right away that the tank needed replacing. He informed me he will order the parts to replace the tank, and we went to a tankless system. He arrived the next day as promised and took the time to do an outstanding installation. His attention to detail was beyond reproach and he also took the time to answer any questions we had. I will without hesitation recommend Black Fern Plumbing and Gas to anyone. Cam definitely merits all the five star reviews everyone has given him and his company.

My family and I had a plumbing issue that was standing in the way of some kitchen renovations. The problem had stumped other contractors, but I called Black Fern Plumbing and Cam came in on short notice and then quickly and accurately diagnosed and solved the problem. He was knowledgeable and efficient, and I would highly recommend him for your plumbing needs.
With all the traffic snarls between Sooke and greater Victoria, it's nice to have such a great resource right here in Sooke.

I live in Sooke and my sewage pump 'crapped out'. This constitutes an emergency. Cam needed to pick up a new pump in Langford. The extra time was eaten up because the electrician who initially did the wiring did not label the electrical panel correctly. What a pain. Cam prevailed, however. The new pump is in and works well. The work had to be done on a Saturday. Working thus cuts into family time, I'm sorry to say. Cam was professional and respectful of my anxiety, getting work done quickly and efficiently. Cam has just finished an ensuite bathroom reno for us. We chose Cam because he is a very friendly and honest, hardworking, professional and we were really happy with other plumbing work Cam had previously done for us.
Cam combines his technical knowledge with a real flair for the design and aesthetics of the finished product. This resulted in him suggesting excellent elements resulting in a beautiful renovation. The workspace was kept very clean, with all access walkways being protected before any work began. All garbage was removed from the site. Cam was very flexible, working around our schedules and keeping us up to date with how work was progressing. Any communication was responded to quickly.

Cam of Black Fern Plumbing and Gas did a superb job converting my tub shower to a proper shower stall in my bathroom. Cam was meticulous and gave me regular updates on his progress. He was polite and neat about his work: he laid down protective floor covering on the regularly travelled pathway into the bathroom and did a thorough cleanup at the end of the job. He took delivery of the shower fixtures I had ordered from the plumbing supply store and checked for shipping damage. He also did all the necessary sub-contracting to replace the drywall that had been removed and for the final repainting of the entire bathroom.
I am very pleased with my new shower stall and with the quality of Black Fern’s work. I will definitely hire Cam again for any future plumbing work I have and for all maintenance and improvements to the gas service in my home.Black Fern Plumbing and Gas Ltd
