Canadian Tire charged me a higher price at check-out than what was listed, and would not offer a price adjustment.I purchase 3 pool noodles and the price tag stated $2.99. At the cash register, they came out to $5.99 each. When I told the staff that their tags said $2.99, she checked and said that they keep ringing up as $5.99. I went to the back of the store and took pictures of the prices to show her that it was listed as $2.99. I asked to be charged what was listed, as this was the stores mistake for not clearly displaying the actual price, even if it was supposed to be more. She said that I could take it to customer service to get a price adjustment. At customer service, 4 different staff tried to assist me. The supervisor told me that the sign likely fell down and it should be $5.99. I asked if a sign did fall down or if he is just assuming that is what happened, and he could not say for certain. The manager eventually came to customer service with 3 smaller sized pool noodles and said that there are two different sizes and that the bigger ones are $5.99 and the smaller ones are $2.99. She said that they cannot charge less than $5.99 for the large ones. I told her that I understood they were different sizes but they did not list a price for the bigger ones. She explained to me that the box had been changed out and the price for them was not posted yet. I explained that as a customer, I should not be penalized for the store not doing their job to make sure their items are marked accordingly. I asked in this instance to be charged what was posted and encouraged the store to make sure they posted the actual price. She told me they could not do that. I ended up returning 2 of the pool noodles. I went to a different store and found the same product for cheaper and bought them there instead. I will not be shopping at Canadian Tire again due to the customer service. Customers should not be penalized because staff don't do their jobs properly.

The service department at this Canadian Tire provided me with the worst car service and cost me nearly $3000 out of pocket to fix their mistakes. I brought my car in for an alignment, after a hour i came back to my car in the park-ade, the rear suspension of the car was not aligned and i was informed that the back was "non -adjustable". I know this is inaccurate as i have had my car aligned and seen the rear been adjusted. After returning due to the front wheels not being aligned either, the car was left with them for another hour. I returned to find out they broke the rear bolt off my trailing arm and my car was now deemed undrivable. The car sat for a week as they waited to get parts over the weekend, i contacted the *** they were ordering from to find out CT was ordering the incorrect parts and just "guessing" as to what part was needed. After i received a call saying CT wanted to cut out my rear suspension I immediately pulled the car and brought it to the dealer, where I received video evidence that the original bolt was incorrectly removed causing the stress break. This experience took over a week where I had no car and proceeded to cost me over $3000 in repairs at the dealer, Ubers, Taxis. I created a case with CT and to my extreme disappointment ******* at ***** Road CT told head office they informed me the whole time about what was happening with my car( i was not called once). Now there is no action to be taken and i would just like to put a warning out for any and all people to avoid Canadian Tire ***** ************************** I also hope people will know that the service department is untrustworthy and should not be in operation.
