      Our whole family have been customers of the ******************************************************************** since the 1970's. Since they have merged with Prospera personal banking here has become a nightmare. Help in the branch is non-existent as they apparently fired everyone and brought in a bunch of young folks who have no authority to do anything and know nothing. We are forced to go to the branch repeatedly to sort out problems with debit and credit cards that freeze and become unusable for no known reason. The website is not intuitive and much information is not available or was lost during the transition. Don't try to link your credit card to your banking accounts, it won't work. Don't try to find statements as they don't exist on-line (this is particular fun during the postal strike). Our family is breaking our almost 50 year relationship with *** and moving to other banks.

      I actually really like Prospera Credit Union. Their staff are really friendly and helpful - not sure what these other reviews are talking about they just sound angry.

      I'd give it a ZERO RATING IF I COULD! DON'T OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THESE CROOKS! THEY CHARGED ME $200 DOLLARS IN SERVICE FEES ON A LOAN WHEN I HAD FUNDS IN MY ACCOUNT. TOTAL BS. THIS CREDIT UNION USED TO BE AN UPSTANDING CREDIT UNION BUT NOW IT'S ONLY INTERESTED IN GRINDING FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES FROM THEIR MEMBERS. I'LL BE PULLING MY ACCOUNT AND GO TO COAST CAPITAL, I HEAR GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM.

      With the expirience I have seem with my father's account I have to wonder if this bank is going under. Why else would a 10 day wait for money to be available has turned into 24 + days? Do they have the assets to secure their deposits?

      Have been with Westminster Savings my whole life before it merged with Prospera. Have had nothing but problems since. Their employees are often rude and unhelpful over the phone, the rates and polices are hidden on the website and overall the entire experience working with them is terrible everything from trying to do online banking on their outdated app to trying to call their call center. One employee either lied or didnt know what he was talking about when he renewed one of my **** by providing me false information. I highly recommend to STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE and banking with a reputable bank or credit union.

      if i could give 5 negative stars i would. In an situation where time was of the essence in looking to purchase a property, Prospera, who we have held multiple mortgages with, simply dragged their feet, and were completely unreactive. to the point where they ultimately declined the application the day our subjects were to come off. had they worked quickly we MAY have had the opportunity to seek financing elsewhere but because they gave no ***** about our urgency we had to hound them to move things along. Absolutely unacceptable. i will be pulling my business from them in every aspect. just absolutely unprofessional, awful, terrible, in every aspect possible. RUN AWAY from this bank

      The worst place to bank with. If you plan to travel anywhere do NOT choose this horrible place. They offered no advice that the *** card doesnt work in most countries and the only suggestion? Keep trying our cards dont always work. Seriously what bank thinks this is acceptable. Apparently Prospera. So now we are overseas and have no access to our own cash because their *** system isnt recognized on international ***s. No help, useless and moving funds ASAP. Even after 30 years of support prior to last merger.

      Recently, Prospera Credit Union bought out *********** ******* ****** *****. This experience has been beyond awful. WSCU was such a great company. Prospera is proving to be the complete opposite. Prosper closed off access to some online banking services (including etransfers) for 4 days (Nov 10-14th). They sent out pamphlets with the info and all of their banks had signs sharing the same info. What they failed to let customers know was that if you were a former *********** ******* ****** ***** customer you were locked out of these banking options from Nov 4-14th. So when I went online on November 5th (a date I chose so that I could have all my essential banking done before the 10th) I was made aware that I would not be able to send an etransfer until the 14th. I called them immediately as my daughter had flown to Toronto and I was in desperate need to send her money. I got a complete run around on the phone. I was told that Prospera had sent me multiple emails informing of the Nov 4-14th shut down. I checked everywhere, including Junk and Blocked folders but did not find ONE communication from them. When I arrived at the Delair branch in Abbotsford I was told that I had to wait because the teller did not know how to do a bank draft for *********** ******* customers. While I waited, I overheard a manager say to a teller. "***** ******* ****** *** ******** ** ** ********* **** ***** **** ***" and then the same teller admit to a colleague that she had quoted a customer the wrong interest rate for a mortgage! Today when I finally went online to look at my account I was no longer able to see my **** info (a note said WSCU customers would have to set up **** accounts a different way- even though the whole point of the lockout was to merge the two companies online?!?!) and then the online system crashed. I am still unable to access my account after 10 days of waiting. Prospera is clearly a very volatile and poorly run company. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM!!!!!!!
