******* damaged my fob key when he copying it, and refused to refund I paid or compensate me for my original fob he damaged and harassed me relentlessly. I needed 2 fobs for my family, one parking fob and one smaller fob for the new place. Feb 13, 2025, ******* came to my old place and copied my parking fob and charged me $70 in cash.I came to the new place and found that the copied parking fob didnt work for the entrance and elevators. When I contacted *******, he said that the parking fob is in general only works to open the garage and refused to fix it. I told him that his website said different things then he agreed to fix it. I told him to come to my new place, but he said he could come to my old address. On the way, he messaged me that he would give me 2 small fobs instead of repairing the parking fob. He knew he already broke the original fob and could not repair both a copy and an original but he hid that. He copied just a small fob and refunded $20. He told me I had to pay him more to fix the parking fob. When I told him that he kept changing what he said, he snapped at me said he fixed the parking fob and gave me a small fob. However the parking fob was still not working and I realized that the original fob (it was brand new) was also not working at the front door or elevators.I contacted another fob copy companies and I was told that ******* probably damaged my fob and no one could repair it. The strata also said that it got damaged and has to be replaced and the fobs would be canceled. ******* advertise he would refund if he failed to clone the fob, and texted me he would refund me. When I emailed him and asked to reimburse my loss, he denied and sent me slanderous emails. He refused to fix the fob saying he was busy, and his daughter was rude and screamed at me, but he bent the facts and blamed them on **** will return fobs and I demand that ******* pay me $175 in total, $50 refund I paid him and $125 to replace my original fob that he damaged.Customer Answer

I have responded my application # 23937819. I emailed BBB via emails to submit photos because I was not able to attach them here.
I have paid cash to the business owner to copy my key fob but he failed to copy the parking fob and damaged my original fob when he copied it.
The owner said cash only and didnt issue the receipt, however he admitted that he received money from me via text messages and emails. He also posted on the website that he would refund if he failed to copy the fob. He messaged me that he would refund me in full, however he blocked my number right after he messaged me, refused to refund and sent me insulting emails.
The building manager of my apartment confirmed that the fob was damaged by him and the original one needed to be replaced and I am not able to use all copied fob.
I have explained my situation when I filed my complaint but I dont see them in my application. I would like to update these information:

Subject: Response to Customer Complaint
Dear ******************** Representative,
1. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation regarding this customers complaint. I take pride in my work and have consistently provided excellent service, as reflected in my numerous positive reviews. Below is a detailed account of what transpired:
2. The customer contacted me to copy both a Garage Remote and an **** fob for building access.3. I immediately went to the customers location, even though it was after normal business hours.
4. I confirmed multiple times whether she wanted a Garage Remote and an **** copy, and she agreed. I also provided a clear price of $70, which is significantly lower than competitors' rates. She initially expressed that it was expensive but still agreed to proceed.
5. I successfully copied both the Garage Remote and the **** fob without any issues.
6. The next day, the customer called me, upset that the Keyscan Garage remote did not work for elevator and door access. I explained that the Garage Remote and the Small **** fob were separate copies, exactly as she had requested. However, she became hostile, calling me a "scammer" and a "cheater."
7. To resolve the issue amicably, I personally returned to her location, provided a $20 refund, and made an additional **** fob at no extra cost.
8. In total, the customer received a Garage Remote and two **** fobs for just $50a very low price compared to standard market rates.
9. After 3 days, she called again, extremely upset, claiming that her original Keyscan fob was no longer working. I asked whether my copies were working, and she confirmed that they were. I explained that sometimes original fobs stop functioning over time, which is why people make copies in the first place.
10. She insisted that I had somehow damaged her original Keyscan fob and demanded that I cover the cost of a replacement from Strata. When I offered to help by replacing the internal **** component, she refused and continued to accuse me unfairly.
11. Despite my efforts to assist, she repeatedly called me, yelling and making accusations. After numerous aggressive interactions, I had no choice but to block her calls.
12. At this point, I have exhausted all reasonable options to assist this customer. I provided prompt service, addressed her concerns, gave a partial refund ( she agreed), and Free gasoline going back to her place at no extra charge and even made extra copies at no charge. I believe I have been more than fair, and unfortunately, I cannot continue to engage with a customer who is unwilling to communicate respectfully.
13. For 50 dollars no one will is willing to go mobile spending gasoline back and forth and numerous accusations.
14. I take customer satisfaction seriously, as shown by my many five-star reviews on ****** and ********. However, there are cases where no matter what we do, some customers remain dissatisfied. I appreciate your time in reviewing this matter.15. I will ignore subsequent emails regarding this matter.
16. I serviced hundred and hundreds of customers as evidence on my Website and ********, what do you think is my reputation ?

Complaint: 23037819
I am rejecting this response because:
1. ******* stated falsely about every item in bullet points in his reply and I had to correct every single one of them. He repeated the same information over and over and the timeline is not correct.
I have submitted 30 pieces of evidence such as email and text message exchange, photos, however ******* submitted none of them.
2. I contacted him for a copy for the condo fob key I was moving into. I explained to him that I had only one fob key and that I needed two copies so that two family members could each have access to that condo.
******* first made a copy of a small fob and then cloned the parking fob, but in doing so he damaged the original fob internally, which erased the program that opens the entrances and elevator, and the cloning of the parking fob failed. ******* hid this from me, and I finally found out the truth after asking several other contractors after he refused to fix his mistakes.
He told me that the parking fob copy is usually just to open the garage gates, and that he thought that I wanted a garage fob. However, now he is blaming me saying that I ordered him incorrectly.3. ******* said he came to my place after hours but it is not true. His advertised business hours on ****** map are 10am to 11pm daily. He came to my old place where I was moving out. He arrived at 9pm and it only took about 10 minutes for duplication so everything was done during the business hours.
He sent me a text message notifying me of his arrival and sent a picture of the building number of my old address. I submitted it as evidence.4. I paid more than his asking price and never asked him to reduce the price as he lied.
I was originally thinking of purchasing two small fobs, but ******* suggested to me that he could also make clones of the parking fob, and offered me a discount for multiple purchases and a repeat customer discount. He said "2 small fobs are $50, but if you buy the parking fob clone, I can reduce the price even more. I can clone 1 parking fob and make 1 small fob for $69.
I asked for a parking fob cloning and making a small fob and paid him $70. He did not give me change or a receipt.
He then passed me 4-5 of his business cards and told me to advertise his business.5. He lied that he was able to copy 2 fobs without any problems, but as I explained in sentence 3., he came to a different address and did not check the operation of the fobs at all.
6. When I told ******* that the parking fob was not cloned properly, he said he was in the ** and refused to fix it.
When I told him that, I explained that I needed 2 fob copies to access the condo , and his website advertises that the copy of the condo parking fob is to clone and make it exactly the same features, and also says that he guarantees all services. Finally he reluctantly said he would come and fix it.
While I called him, his daughter was hysterically screaming at me and at *******.
I did not call him he was a scammer or cheater but ******* emailed me saying I think you're the ***** on Feb, 18 at 10:46 pm.7. When I messaged him that his parking fob did not work, he immediately asked if the original fob was working so he realized that he damaged the original fob.
He refused to fix it saying that because he was in the ** and still on the way to come back. I was in a new place and it was close to the **. I told him to come to fix the fob, and test it together.
He told me to meet up at my previous address which was far from the **, since he knew he couldn't fix the fob and didn't want me to test it.
On the way to my old place, he messaged me that he would actually give me 2 small fobs instead of fixing the parking fob. Because he knew he damaged the original and only a small fob was able to access the building.
He asked me to pass him the small fob he copied , not the original fob, and duplicated 1 small fob and refund me $20. He then told me to return the parking fob to him. He said if I wanted him to fix it, I had to return him the small fob and pay him $20 back.
I passed the parking fob to him, but I didn't feel safe with him getting my condo fob. I told him that he was supposed to fix the parking fob but then he said he would give me 2 small fobs for free, and that he always changes what he says.
He then snapped at me and yelled at me that he is a professional and no one complains about him. Then he copied another small fob and passed the parking fob back to me claiming that he fixed it.
8. He said he fixed a copy of the parking fob, but it still could not access the building entrance or elevator. I took pictures and videos of that and sent them to *******.9. When I went to the new address a few days later and checked the original fob, I found that it was no longer usable to access the entrance and elevator, the same as the clone fob. I immediately contacted *******, but he told me to find someone else and refused to fix the problems he caused.
10. I contacted two other Fob copy companies and they told me that the condo parking fobs should be copied of the same function, not only opening the parking gate, and that the reason my original fob is not working is because ******* damaged it during the copying process and that no one can fix it.
I also asked on ******** and was told that once a fob key is damaged, there is a risk that it will all stop working in stages.
The fob was brand new for the new construction condo, and it was working properly before he copied. I brought the original fob to the condo building management office to check the fob, I was told that it was internally damaged when it was copied.
I asked the management company to investigate further, but was told that the damage was irreparable and would be replaced and the damaged fob would be cancelled.11. ******* said he blocked me because I called him a lot but we were messaging each other when he blocked me. As soon as he messaged me that he would refund me in full, he blocked me.
I submitted the text messages to prove that he made up the story.
When I called him from the landline, his daughter answered me. She was asking me repeatedly, saying what? and she was being rude and aggressive so I had to end the call.
When I emailed him a demand letter, he relentlessly sent me abnormal replies, using emojis. His emails were full of obvious lies, delusions and slander.12. I have told him that I cannot use the copied fobs and would return all of them, and have asked him to refund the service fee and compensate me for the original fobs he damaged, but he didnt admit his mistake and shifts the blame to me.
Although he brazenly complained to me about the cost of gas, he himself offered on-site service in the first place. When he failed to copy the fob and he needed to fix it, he told me to drive to my old address to hide his mistake, which was a 30 minute drive.
13. He says for only $50, then why does he refuse a refund?14. We can't rely on the reviews from ****** map due to fabrications by some bad business owners. Franciss conduct is completely opposite and different from the ****** reviews.
15. If he were truly sincere, he would not cut off communication as irresponsibly as he does.
When I emailed him a formal letter demanding a refund, he replied to me with endless harassment emails saying he would contact the **** "tomorrow" and that he would sue me for extortion. If he makes such false reports to harass customers, he will face criminal penalties.
His emails were unprofessional and childish, like a rebellious elementary schooler's bad language, full of delusions of grandeur, and very aggressive, so I believe his daughter wrote emails on behalf of her father.16. He lies about hundreds of customers reviewing him on ****** and ********. I have attached screenshots as proof that he did not create a ******** account for his business, and his personal account was never set up for reviews in the first place; ****** Maps shows some unnatural 5-star reviews out of 55 reviews, but they are made by his family and friends connected him on ******** and most of them were improvised accounts.
Other reviews, including mine, are not reflected. My review is not against ******'s rules so I think he is reporting it as spam and hiding all the true reviews.
He advertises on his website that he guarantees all services and refunds. If he keeps refusing to refund me, I think he deserves to be called a fraud.Once again, I demand the $175 for the cloning service I paid for and the repair cost of the original fob that ******* damaged.
