We were sold a metal building structure by this company. They did not provide the adequate plans/instructions for the erection of the building and the contractor is unable to complete the job without them. The company is unwilling to provide any plans that are ESSENCIAL to putting up the building. They instead want to send someone out at OUR cosy from Vancouver to walk us through erection. Competitors around the world/province say this is ***** *****.

      Dear Customer,

We are very sorry you are having trouble erecting your new pre-engineered metal building.  Our project manager has supplied you with a 16 page engineered erection drawing package, 27 pages of standard detail drawings and an 86 page erection procedure manual.  These are the industry standard materials provided by any reputable metal building manufacturer.   Any qualified metal building erector should be able to to erect your new building based on these documents.  I am sorry there are no additional documents we can provide to help you.  You contracted MBG to supply only the building and not the building erection.  As such, we did not "want" to send someone to walk you through the erection, but we simply offered it to you as an option in order to try help you.  But of course as our contract does not include for any site erection or supervision, we do not have it included in our budget and it would be an additional cost to send someone to site.  I hope you are having more success with your project since registering this complaint.  We remain available to try answer any questions you may have.

      Sincerely,

      MBG Management

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
The building salesman "Tom" reassured me that this structure is a simple to follow plan similar to an **** instruction package you have stated that a "qualified metal building tech" is in fact required to erect this structure.  This was not disclosed furthermore it CLEARLY lists on every piece of documentation that this is a U-Build structure how are you able to state to customers that these are simple and easy to erect on your own and then write me a letter saying that I should of hired an Qualified person. These statements are ************* and prove that you are either ********** your customers or are flat out ***** to get more business. I clearly stated to the "new salesman" (Shane) that if you guys were able to provide plans similar to your competitor (easy to read and understand) or "U-Build" standard that I would accept this as a compromise. I was allotted nothing and said it was my problem. So to summarize your selling a product under the ******** that anyone can build them by your own definition "U-Build" then once the sale has happened you are saying that a certified or experienced erector is required and would make the job easy.  This is not what I purchased and was not told this from the beginning I was told this is simple to build that  I could do it myself turns out that is not the case if is ******* to ************ a product for a sale.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
