      My son rented a parking space for his van at this facility from Dec. 2022 to April 2023. He distinctly indicated the van would be picked up in April at time of booking. He spoke directly to a representative on the phone about removing some garbage he had heft behind, at which point he clearly communicated he would pay out to the end of his contract to the end of April and paid by e-transfer as the **** card he provided (mine) had been cancelled. This facility, despite knowing he was no longer there, continued to charge my **** card unbeknownst to him until Dec. 2023. Despite multiple attempts to request that the company refund for ****Dec. they agreed only to as a courtesy waive the 2 week cancelation motivation period for ******** for which we would have been charged, despite me telling them they had no authority to do so on my credit card. I engaged my bank who requested I work directly with this business, but to no avail. It appears according to multiple ****** reviews that this is common practice for this company. There was no service rendered, no space utilized and no inconvenience or expenditure or any kind for this company from ****Dec and we have begged them to be reasonable. Absolutely no receipts were ever provided until I requested them today, so there was no indication to my son he was still being charged. $208 per month is not something my son or I can afford, and they are not out of pocket if they do the right thing. Hoping for some resolution or mediation, and if nothing else, to warn others as so many have tried to do. This is clearly not a well respected business in your community. I have attached one sample receipt for Nov. the that I received today. I was provided with ****Nov 2023, issued today.

      As per policy and procedures in place for cancellations, I will not be able to refund the amount since April 2023. As a courtesy, I will disregard the 2 weeks notice and cancel your account today and refund 1 months rent and your security deposit.

      Security Deposit: $25.00
      Total: $233.95

      I will go ahead and refund the credit card on file today.

      The owner sent an email today as well Jan.22/****:

       

      Please see Graydens signed Lease attached.

      As the Lease clearly states in clause 14, which was initialed by *******, there is a process that must be followed when vacating and to terminate the Lease.  This process was not followed and consequently our Office had no idea that the space was no longer needed and that we should put it on our available list of units to lease.

      ******* was contacted several times, by phone and email to inform him we no longer were able to process the card on file for the December 8th, 2023  rental payment that was past due.  

      On January 2nd, **** our Office was contacted by Graydens mother.   It wasnt until that point we were made aware that the parking space was no longer wanted.  Our Manager followed company policy and did not refund any past rent paid.

      In good faith, we refund November 8ths, 2023 rent, however there was no contractual obligation to do so.  We have a wait list for our parking spots and had we know that it was no longer needed, it could have been rented right away with no interruption of payment to our Company.  

      Consequently we did loose rent for November and December due to our Office trying to work with your situation.  There will be no further reimbursements in regards to this lease.
