    I have been dealing with Liberty tax for about 10 years now this isn't the first time I've had issues with receiving my refund from them I have been told by an employee who literally gave her personal number because her manager refuses to talk to her to relay messages for us so that employee being an honest and hardworking person was trying to do the right thing rather her manager which I don't even know his name has had my refund since September of 2024, my refund will stated to be $2,500 I was told that I had checks there to be picked up but come to find that the manager had cashed my checks already so there were no checks anymore in the past I've had them do email transfers with me which was never an issue before the most recent being 2023 they sent me my payments through each transfer it's now been 2 months and counting that I've been asking for my funds to be sent to me and I either get ignored or told that it will happen on a certain date and it never happens I have been unable to be able to talk to them manager himself about this but it is illegal what he has done he has cash people's checks and holds others money that is not his my wife and I have been calling literally every day for the past two and a half months to the point where now the employee that gave us the personal number ignores and doesn't even respond because her excuse being "she honestly doesn't know what to say so she just doesn't answer"she was generous enough to tell her manager not to pay her her check until she pays us so he literally took $500 out of his employees and finally out of multiple begging sent $500 of the $2500 that is owed to me I have tried all ends here to no avail and it's gotten to the point where this man should be arrested or charged if anybody else has an issue like this please comment or let me know I can never seem to get a hold of them at their office I don't know what the point of a business is when they can't run one.

    If I could give half a start I would. To start, they did not file necessary documents for a US Tax filing for a dual Canadian/American citizen residing in ****** in 2022. Second, when the mistake was caught by an accounting firm and we started investigating why it had not been done, they responded that the document wasn't necessary as it fell under the $20K threshold, when in fact the threshold is $10K, and was in 2022. This egregious oversight by ******* has the potential for a $10,000 fine!!!! This happened to a young person in the medical profession that is just starting into a career. It could happen to anyone. When people hire a tax service, especially one that claims to specialize in Canadian and US tax filing, they expect the people they are working with to know the requirements, limits, and correct filing procedures. They expect the service they are paying for to be performed. Correctly.
