I recently spent $200 on tickets for an event in ******** held by the Big Bounce Canada company. I purchased tickets off of their website on September 6 2024. When buying tickets you have to choose a time slot. We chose 3:30pm on Sept 15th (was fully available online). Got the little ones packed up and headed to ******** only to find out that the event was already closed. There were numerous families there, and you can only imagine the tears from all the little ones watching this giant bounce park be dismantled in front of them, not getting to play at all.The employee told us emails were sent out (all the parents were frantically checking their emails all to find no email whatsoever), and that we would at very least receive reimbursement for the tickets. The employee eventually told us there was never a 3:30pm time slot to begin with. Fast forward a few days. The Big Bounce company refuses to respond to any correspondence, so we contact the third party ticket distributor (Fever). They were at least responsive and polite, but eventually said they spoke with Big Bounce and they are refusing to reimburse the tickets due to their policies. They also claimed an email was sent out but I have searched every inbox and folder I have and I received no email. I know $200 isnt a ton of money to some, but it is to us. Its also so disheartening that a company that is centred around kids entertainment has shown no remorse or responsibility for selling false tickets and disappointing loads of kids and families. And aside from contacting the banks (which I already have), Im not really sure what else I can do. Hence my lodging a complaint here.
