Made arrangements to buy a group of items. Offered a price for all the items. Company emailed me accepting offer and indicated I could pay with *******, or a web link on their website. I emailed to verify shipping was included but got no answer as it was later afternoon. Went to the website and saw shipping was free for orders over $99. (link: **********************, see banner at top) I used the web link payment option so it would be more official and I would have an invoice. It presented options to pay with various methods. I selected credit card. Invoice: **** for $1470.13 CAD I then got an email later saying shipping would be extra, and they would let me know how much on Monday. (3 days later). Contacted me Monday and said shipping would be an extra $100. After some back and forth I asked them to cancel the order as I could get the same item from another site at the same price. (and shipping was free) They indicated I would have to pay the ********** credit card fees. I contacted my credit card company and they said there would be no fees as the charge hadn't been processed / cleared yet. It ended up the fees were for their ******* storefront fees, and they wanted me to pay those for the cancelled transaction. They refunded me $1405.08, leaving me paying their ******* fees of $65.05. I don't feel it's fair I should pay for their ******* fees under these circumstances. They didn't indicate in their email that I shouldn't use the payment link (and use a CC), they presented it as an option. They are trying to say I was supposed to use *******, yet they provided the second option. They also accepted my offer originally, and their website said "free shipping on orders over $99", and only got back to me after I paid to say "we need another $100 for shipping". (Email thread of discussion is attached as EMAIL1.pdf) Cancellation is attached as EMAIL2.pdf Final attachment is the after refund email thread. (email is attached as EMAIL3.pdf)
