I began an ********** * ********* ******* ****** diploma in 08/21 with CDI college & have had nothing but problems with the school since. Grade changes were submitted multiple times with no resolution, they missed 1 heavy weighted assignment & a final exam for 2 courses which I have followed up on for a year now. In 11/21 I submitted my banking details & *** receipt as instructed, they lost my banking details ***** * ********** * ******* *********. I requested for this to be investigated & this was never done. It took 9 months for my receipt to be reimbursed. In January/22 the school was not confirming to national student loans that I was a student for winter semester which caused a delay in funding. National had to send multiple requests for them to confirm as I continued to follow up. I completed my practicum on June 24/22 & it took 3 months of follow up complaints & escalations for them to finally send me my diploma because the registrar messed something up on their end. When I was enrolling into this diploma program, I was told that there is a $4400 scholarship that is sent to students upon graduation. It was previously sent to students in the beginning of the course but was switched because students were receiving the funds then dropping out of the course. I received my diploma on September 23rd with no scholarship, only to find out the funds were sent to the cost of my tuition even though the school told me in June I didn't owe anything. I contacted national student loans today (09/27) & they did not receive the $4400. I absolutely regret enrolling into this school, ** *** **** ******** **** ****** ** *** ******** ********. * *** ********** ****** ****** ****** ** ****** * ** ********** *** ***** ** ***** ****** ******** *** ****** ** ***** ** ****** **** **** ** ***** ** **** **** *** ********* *********** I would like for this formal complaint to find a resolution of having the $4400 to be send to me like I was told would happen. **** ****** **** **** *****Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: this does not provide me a resolution as to where my scholarship funds are. I am looking for the $4400 that had been on a signed contract and is nowhere to be found. Nobody from this school ever actually reaches out or follows up with me and it's only added to the frustration.
Sincerely,
******* ******Initial Complaint

Ever since I signed the agreement the finanical CDI person Nicole L***** ********************************** will NOT email me back or contact me as I have emailed numerous times and NO RESPONSEs. I want my agreement that I signed completed and sent back to national student loans services canada to correct the amount I owe!Business Response

I would like the school to stop harassing me for the "rest" of the money I "owe", not make me pay their phony scholarship, and receive some funding back to pay off my student loans to make up for all the grievances they have put me through with their unprofessional handling of business. I would also like my promised certificate/diploma. I started the business and digital marketing course through CDI in September 2021. By December 2021 I had paid the school $1300 and was waiting for my student loans to be processed by the school and cover the rest of my tuition. The school delayed this process trying to get more out of my savings. Finally in April they processed my loans and then told me I still owed them $5500 something. I am not sure how this is true, as on the phone they had told ** ****** ****** *** I that all of it would be covered with my loans. I have since tried to contact the appropriate people in the school to help reach out to student aid again and get the rest covered but have only been met with silence, and today, a ****** to end my program that should end this week. In essence, I have taken a 10 month course (expanded to 12 because of other issues with school) spent $19000+ on tuition to be told I'm being terminated and will not receive my certificate/diploma if I don't pay $5500+ I can't pay because of an error on their end. For a business and technology school they sure don't seem to understand proper business.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:It is not a valid response to my complaint. This is an automated message that was sent four days ago. They have not reached out as they said that they would, and I will not be reaching out to them as that is what I have been trying to do since December 2021 regarding some of my issues with them, (the money issues started in December, calmed down in March when they made me send them a bank draft, and resumed again in April) but have been met with silence. Every time I have been able to contact someone they talk to me for a couple of days and then disappear and then I have to start the process over when a new person ******** me. I keep getting the runaround and I no longer have the time for it. I will start having to pay my loans back soon, and it is ridiculous because i have to pay for all of the amount even though it hasn't all been used on my tuition. I should still have some funds available through ******* *** **. They refuse to help me try to access these funds, as they are supposed to as the school. They need to rectify this or let it go.
Sincerely,
******* *****Business Response

-CDI terminated my student contract with them without my consent
-they told me I needed to get a medical procedure done to participate in their practicum and then did not give me an appropriate time frame to do so.
-I completed what they asked and now they are saying I willingly dropped out of their program
- they are keeping over $13000 from me of student loans which I applied for and were distributed to the school and I never got to use the funds which are now owing on my credit
- I called Alberta student loans and they said it had been sent to the school.
-I finally talked to a finance person from CDI and they are saying they don't approve loans when the person is not currently attending so the money has effectively disappeared.
