I contacted Ararat for cleaning 2 of my rugs that had damaged due to a flood in my home and an extra rug which was not water damaged but just needed cleaning. They asked me if my insurance would cover the cost and I said most likely but the one rug which was not damaged I will pay for myself. And they let me know that the cost for that would be $150. After I discussed the matter with my insurance, they told me that my rugs were not covered because they are hand made and that for this I needed to have an add on insurance. So I contacted Ararat and told them that insurance would not cover the cost and that they can send me their invoice to pay. They submitted the invoice to me which was for $1370! This is an insane cost for cleaning 3 rugs so I let them know that it doesn't match the price we discussed and they had to give me a discount. After many back and forth we agreed on $600 and he also wanted product from my company ( mens clothing) to pay for the rest. So finally I picked up my rugs and paid $600 plus clothing as gifts to him just so I could get my rugs back. But when I came home I realized that they had not cleaned one of the rugs at all and another was poorly cleaned. I emailed them with photos and they said they would fix them. After the second pick up I realized that they had used bleach to try and clean the color transfer on one of my rugs. At this point the rug is completely destroyed due to the bleach they've used on it. I contacted the owner right away and he told me that they didn't even charge me for this rug and that it was complementary! He didn't acknowledge that he had ruined my rug at all. The invoice they sent to me clearly states that there is $555 in color removal fee. But now after they ruined my rug they are saying that it was complementary. I am left with a destroyed rug and an invoice that I already paid for. * **** **** * *** ******* *** ******* ******* **** ****** * ****** *** ** ** ********** I want them to return my money or pay for my damaged rug.Thank you for your time.
