    My spouse booked an event with Soundhouse Studios to be held on ** **** ******** April 2022 involving my family members which was a surprise. * **** ***** * ****** *** *** ** *** ******* ** ******* * ****** ** ************ *** am a music lover. ** *** * *** ********* *** *** * **** ******** **** *** ****** ** ** ** *** ** ** *********** This is why my wife chose an extravagant (certainly for us) gift for my 50th birthday. A contract was signed which we were aware of. My wife paid 1354.50 to Soundhouse Studios. Unfortunately, one of my family members contracted COVID-19 and we were worried about the spread that we may have caused as she was in contact with all of us. We informed Soundhouse studios of the situation and they said there is nothing they can do as a contract was signed. I called on behalf of my spouse to explain and was given an email address for the owner. I emailed the owner 2 times and there was no reply. Another family member had contacted Soundhouse Studios and they also got the same result. We were hopeful that we could get some sort of alternative event planned, a reduced rate or some sort of discount on another date but there was no attempt by Soundhouse Studios to help other than to remind us that we signed a contract. We were not seeking a full refund by any means. It has been 10 months and we are trying to move on. The experience with Soundhouse Studios in dealing with our problem has been traumatic. We feel there is a complete lack of compassion and empathy. We will continue to support community organizations and are proud to live in Vancouver. We cannot recommend, endorse or support Soundhouse Studios at all and still do not understand their lack of willingness to do anything to help us in this situation.
