Jan 27th 2023: Purchased a pair of Camper Wabi slippers Jan 27th 2023 from Camper online via The Bay Marketplace (Order Number: **********) for $128 ($115 +tax). The slippers started to fall apart at the front within a few months of light wear which progressively worsened once I started to wear them again in the fall. I submitted an online claim with Camper on Jan 5th 2024. Camper are refusing to honour a 2 year warranty on all of their products because "the failure of this product is in no case due to a manufacturing defect nor is it related to the materials used". This was based on the attached photographs only. They would not respond to my questions about what they were suggesting caused the damage as I had not mistreated the slippers in any way, and how they could be sure of that without a physical inspection of the slippers. They did not answer my questions.I brought the slippers into the Camper Store in Vancouver on March 11th 2024 and the manager ***** agreed that the damage was not considered normal wear and tear. I confirmed that I had not mistreated or washed the slippers. She said they had a replacement pair in my size in store, but that she would first need to confirm with head office and let me know within 2 days. After 10 days without communication I called the store and a different person read out an email from their ****************** with the same reply above that I had received myself, and said that they could not replace or refund the slippers for that reason.
