I went to get an eye test from this store on the 16th May 2024. I submitted this expense under my health insurance with my work only to find out it was rejected because the optician who performed the eye test is not actually allowed to do so.This organisation is running illegal practices in its store and I want a full refund of my eye test for *****

    Business Response

*********************** came to our store and asked to have his eye tested.

In **************** Opticians can perform sight test to get an accurate prescription by law.

I, ***************************** a licensed optician, explained that we do sight test not an eye exam and he needs to pay and claim it through his insurance since we dont do it directly.

Also, I asked if he has coverage for sight and he said yes that is no problem. So he signed the consent form explaining that we dont do eye exam and do not check any health issues.

Later, he told us that his insurance needed more information which I provided.

When he didnt get reimbursed from his insurance; I got his insurance information and contacted them and inquired about the situation. They asked me to fax all the information and receipt. I did that and included a detailed letter explaining everything.

I asked if they could make an exception and pay him this time as it wasnt clear to him.
As of June 11, 2024,we have confirmed with ************** that he has received his $89 from him insurance company.
