Yesterday March 27th I signed up to check out what driving with Steve had to offer in the way of used cars. They ran my credit and said someone would be contacting me right away and over ************************************************************* any vehicles. I think it's wrong to wrong someone's credit and then not even follow through with the service at all. The ding on my credit was otherwise unnecessary and I'm worried I may have been scammed and don't know who has my personal information from the initial contact I had.

**** applied to get a vehicle with us on March 26, 2025 and gave consent for a credit check to get pre-approved for a vehicle.

We spoke with him over text and he was concerned that 2 dealers have pulled his credit before coming to us. We let him know that we would also have to do a credit check in order to proceed with a pre-approval and asked if he was okay with that, which he said he was.

We sent him to our dealer partner who completed the credit check and let us know they left **** a message. Since ****, was unable to speak with them, we gave them our partner Hunters direct phone number. Sometimes it can take a few days for our partner to complete a pre-approval but **** messaged us the very next morning (less than 24 hours later) to stop the process. Our partner had already completed the credit check and was working on finding **** some vehicle options, but he did not want to move forward.

I contacted this company early last year about a vehicle. I decided against this company and I told them I went elsewhere. They still continue calling, and texting me even tho on multiple occasions I have told them to stop contacting me. I have text proof of me telling them to stop. I dont know where else to turn to get them to stop harassing me. They even tell me that my credit is pre-approved for a loan. I have not authorized them to do a credit check on me since I authorized it early last year. So far there are no hard hits on my credit. I just want the phone calls to stop. They are from different people each time. I attached 3 separate texts where I told the number to stop contacting me. One is them trying to contact me today.

******* applied for a vehicle with Driving With Steve on May 19, 2024. We confirmed her details over text and then referred her to one of our dealer partners to help find her the vehicle she was looking for. Our company only operates over text message and does not place phone calls to our customers.

Once she let us know she is no longer looking for a vehicle, on June 18, 2024, we have not texted her since. I have attached a screenshot showing our last text message to her was on June 18, 2024. We also let our dealer partner know that she is no longer looking for a vehicle back in June of 2024. The calls/texts she is receiving are not from Driving With Steve and we have not sent her information to any other dealer partners.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
