I took my cat to Cypress Street Animal Hospital on March 3, 2023 about 6 pm. He had been bitten by another cat, according to the vet. He told me that x-rays and blood work were needed. I argued, stating that he had blood work done one month prior, but I relented because I love my cat. . I was told about the charges ahead of time. They would be $1045 to 1100. They would include pain-killer, anti-biotics, cleaning of the cut, draining the pus, and treating it. . i asked for no x-rays to be done. The receptionist agreed, but then they said they had already been done, even though the clinic was not open at the time. The vet said that he would email the x-rays and blood work panel results to me. They never did. . They were NOT sent. When I visited Sammy on Saturday at 5 pm., his wound was worse. It was oozing more pus than before. It had not been treated. They said this was normal. It was not. I agreed to surgery, and a total of $1400. When I went on Sunday, they would not release him until I paid $2150 in total. I had already paid $600 on Friday, then $750 on Saturday. I had to take out a loan for this. . Now I paid $802. I was not provided antibiotics or painkillers. I was provided a common nerve-blocker, which is not appropriate, I think. I was not provided any proof of the work done. Now that Sammy is home, his wound is leaking everywhere. Obviously, the drainage pump was NOT installed. I am taking him to another vet. I want a refund of what I paid. His life could be endangered by this animal hospital.
