I attended a Yoga Teacher Training with Exhale Yoga Retreats ** **** and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them. After seeing what looked like a lovely training program on their website that advertised a teachers training, accommodation and meal package, I was very disappointed with the actual hotel room I was given when I arrived at their training. Not only did the room not look like the pictures advertised on their website, but there were also quality control issues. The room was dirty with no mosquito net as shown, and the amenities they claimed to have like wifi and hot water were barely working. After students began complaining about the accommodations, Exhale Yoga Retreats advised our group to 'befriend the cockroach in our room'. Due to the poor accommodations, 6 out of 16 people including me and their two yoga instructors left the hotel and were paying for two hotel rooms. I requested a refund for the hotel accommodations so that I could stay at a properly maintained hotel nearby to complete the training, and Exhale Yoga was unable to help stating that they were bound to the hotels 'non-cancellable' cancelation policy. This put me in a position where I had to either a) stay in a dirty mouldy hotel room with very poor wifi / lukewarm water or b) dish out thousands of more dollars for another hotel nearby. Because of this I was forced to leave their teachers training program along with another student. I requested a refund for the training tuition, and Exhale refused stating their cancellation policy "If you leave the training early at any point, there will be no refund of your tuition." In addition, I saw online that the hotel's nightly rate was much less than the $66 USD per night I paid for the same exact dates. In total I paid over $5600 USD for a hotel I spent one night at and a training I spent 4.5 days at.
